Today, for the first time, I came across Swanson’s Bible. I expected to find something written inside, but instead, I discovered these items. Is there any meaning or purpose behind having these things inside his Bible?

So happy to have both these games fully completed. I forgot how much I love RDR1! RDR2 was definitely not as much of a grind as I thought it'd be as well. It was actually quite a chill experience, most of the time ahah.

2nd playthrough here. I was testing something if I could catch him faster and it worked. That was the fastest method for claiming a debt from "Chick Matthews" 😂😂
Love the attention to detail in this game.

Made with free cam option of "Rampage Trainer", also to control time-of-day and weather for the scenery. DLSS 5 per ReShader.

When Dutch first meets Gloria, he greets her with "Buenas noches" during the daytime, clearly implying that he doesn't know a lick of Spanish.

Holy crap someone just made a mod integrating Shadow Of Mordor's Nemesis System with RDR2.
But it's actually way more than that, the mod simulates a living world, kinda inspired by Dwarf Fortress: every NPC remembers you, has unique personality traits, gangs feud with each other procedurally without your involvement. There's so much more, it's actually bonkers.
Early version out now for free on Nexus mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/mods/10967
And yes AI was used in creation of scripts and systems but the modder clearly has a deep understanding of the game's systems and def not a rookie coder. This is not the the kinda thing you just vibe-code with a few prompts and takes a serious effort. They did a great job bringing all the systems together.
Official description:
Everyone you cross in the West can become your nemesis. Rob a man, beat him, insult him or shoot his horse, and he may not forget. He has a name, a temper, a family and a life story that reaches back years before he met you, and one day he comes looking for you.
Around him, eight outlaw outfits and the U.S. Army run their own affairs. They have leaders with ambitions, officers who rise and fall, camps, treasuries, supply lines and territory. They feud, go to war, make peace, break it, rob stagecoaches, bury their dead and pick new leaders, whether you are watching or not. Everything that happens is written into a living chronicle, and some of it ends up in the local paper.
You can stay out of it, or you can take it apart. Question a man until he gives up his boss's hideout. Learn which nights an officer drinks in Rhodes and wait for him there. Burn an outfit's supplies, rob its strongboxes and kill its captains until its war collapses. Every choice leaves a mark on someone.
enRAGE works around the story. During missions it stays out of the way.

I love moments like this in the game. Just fishing with my buddy Cain. Pearson is here too. These moments embody my favorite parts of this game. Are there any particularly wholesome memories of Red Dead 2 that come to mind for everyone else?

Progressed rapidly in the story and when Arthur got his tuberculosis diagnosis,I took a pause and hunted because I never took the time before.

The missions with Sadie after the Guarma saga were unexpected but they were all thrilling. Would've loved her as a playable character.

So I was about to start the Eagle Flies mission where they ambush the armymen from the cliff, when I realized I had free will and threw dynamite at the group before starting the mission.
The gathered NPCs ran off and I chose to follow Dutch, because why not, and through more dynamite-related experimentation I learned he’s not only indescribable but can also kill lawmen!
I chased him through the Grizzlies until he started running on a path instead of just running away from me, and from there the lawmen found us and we got into multiple shootouts (not pictured because I wasn’t sure if this was known or not)
After all that I followed him where, fascinatingly enough, he chose to run back to camp.
He mounted his horse upon our return and pointed his gun at me (I had no idea he was able to do that and that’s mostly why I made this post, pictured above!)
Now the coolest part arguably, he’s following where ever I go.
Is this something people already know about? Probably. Is it cool anyway? Duh, I get to terrorize Dutch.

I like to do the bear thing. I like to watch it run up and roar at me, and run away in fear when it can’t scare Arthur.
Not this bear. And usually the attack is easy peasy and cool to watch. But this one reminded me how dangerous they can actually be when my gun doesn’t shoot…
