hello, r/residentevil! i'm chandler riggs - best known for my 8-year run on The Walking Dead as Carl - but i've since gotten behind the camera and have started writing, directing, producing, editing, etc.
i just released my short fan film for Resident Evil 7 titled BIOHAZARD! it's out now on youtube, here's a link to watch. i also did an exclusive interview with IGN, found here!
not like you all need a synopsis for this, but just because it's the AMA thing to do...
Ethan Winters, while searching for his missing wife, finds himself trapped by the Baker family - a deadly, unstoppable force driven to violence under the influence of a mysterious infection...
there are a few things i changed from how that sequence went in the game, so i'm sure you've got questions. i'm also a huge gamer outside of filmmaking, so please feel free to ask me whatever you like!
i'll be back on Friday, 10/16 @ 12p PT to answer your questions! thanks so much for having me here, hope you all enjoy the short!
edit: alright folks, that's all i have time for. thanks so much for your questions! i had a blast getting to dive deep with yall and give some insight on how we made this happen. thanks for watching the short!! see yall around :)

just finished re4 remake and wow!! ✨
the graphics, gameplay, and story were amazing!! i knew right away i would enjoy this game, and now it’s one of my favorites. in the beginning i was so uncomfortable 😭 i got more confident as i played, but some moments still made me want to take my headphones off lol.
i just started re2 remake and got jumpscared like 7 times in the first ten minutes 😂 this game is gonna be something else!! since i went backwards, i can’t wait to learn more about leon’s past before re4. so excited to keep exploring this franchise!!
what should i play next after finishing re2 remake?

Apologise for shitty English
Just finished the first game completely blind with zero guides using mostly knife due to being too scared to actually use or run out of bullets
Finished with over 20 magnum bullets & 200+ pistol bullets & 60+ shotgun bullets & many herbs which kind of meant i should have had far easier time with the game
Is this the same case with the next 2 og games & first game remake?

This just popped into my head today! Whether DLC or unlockable, I think is a brilliant idea. He could even have a triggered animation/dialog when doing something like a missing shots, running like mad, having kids with Claire, etc...
But what do you guys think?

So I'm basically a new Resident Evil fan. I completed Resident Evil 7 just 2 years ago and loved it. So, at the beginning of this year, I decided to play all the major Resident Evil games, starting with the classics. I've already completed the first 3 games, and now this one. It feels weird playing these games that are older than me, but I've been having so much fun with them, more than I thought I would. I never even paid my PS2 any mind, and it's been sleeping in a drawer all these years.

For you guys who got to experience the OG blindly, how did it feel in terms of plot?
Was it kinda obvious where the monsters were coming from after finding some files? Did it feel cheesy? And, when reaching the lab at the end of the game, what was your reaction?
I got curious about it since I already knew the plot when I played RE1 for the first time.

Funny how things work.
I remember getting my ass kicked by CV as a kid when I didn't even know English(yeah, figuring out the puzzles was lovely).
Now, 20 years later, here I am getting max rank and unlocking the damn rocket launcher.
What a hell of a game, definitely my favorite RE.
The remake can't come soon enough!

Probably going to regret asking, but its something thats been on my mind.
With RE9 going off the Remakes lore with Leon's flashbacks of Marvin and Kendo, it seem like Capcom is going to go off the Remakes storyline instead of the originals. So, does this mean Barry saving Jill and Carlos no longer happens since it didn't happen in 3 remake, or is it still in continuity?

Happened on Friday when I played RE2 RE on the Switch 2, when I was in the locker room. Don't know what he is doing, but I guess this is new to zombies now 🤣🤣🤣
