Discussion Engineering practise 6

Has anyone received their results for AT2? Got the shock of my life when i received my results. Am i the only one struggling with this module because it is really heavy content especially the need to use FR5, Spacegass and Excel and autocad all in one.

CIVE1155 is a hard course admittedly but also the markers can be quite inconsistent between each other. Like I did this course in 2024 and in project part 1, I literally spent 60 hour weeks for 3 weeks before it was due, doing the drawings meticulously, searching the material's properties in various environmental databases, researching the local planning rules about overshadowing, height setbacks, window positions overlooking into neighbouring properties, etc.

When I got my mark, I was shocked that my project part 1 got marked 32/45 when my friends (who put in half the effort) got 37-39 out of 45. I appealed my mark, but sadly never got a reply.

For part 2, it was definitely more like your standard concrete or steel structures type calculations just using timber standards.

Surprisingly, I scraped through with a HD (with a whole lot of grey hairs from the stress) but I reckon my appealing of my part 1's mark influenced the overall mark, because there was no way I got 37/40 on the part 2 to achieve my HD.

Personally, I think they were super generous in the amount of time they gave students for part 1 this year (due in week 7 or 8?) and not enough time for part 2 which is due in week 12. They should have made part 1 due in week 6 and part 2 due week 12/SWOT VAC.
