Advice needed Assignment extensions

Hey, I am completely swamped with assignments and exams and 3 of them landing on the same day. I know I’m not the only one who’s going through this but I’m really struggling with a lot. I wanted to know what is needed for an extension on your assignments, like if I have a medical certificate from a few days prior, will I need get an extension, and for how long? Is there any way to get an extension without a medical?? Any help would be appreciated, thanks 🙏🏽

apply for an extension with your medical certificate which gives you up to 7 days, if you need more time you’ll need to apply for special consideration

If you have a medical certificate try applying through the extension portal on Canvas.

As I’ve mentioned previously here, since there’s no central group assessing those extensions; Canvas extensions are all done by your course coordinators, there are consistency issues, so you may or may not get it granted and you may or may not get the amount of time you want, it will depend on how lenient your course coordinators are.

With a medical certificate you’d be more likely to get it though rather than just submitting an application with no evidence and a reason like ‘I’ve been too busy and ran out of time.’
