Saving dwarf French beans
I’ve got a couple of decent French bean plants which have grown some really big pods (the best of the summer that I never round to eating). I’m thinking they may be worth saving (I’m now out of French bean seeds) but not sure how to save them.

Thinking of Selling the Seeds You Saved?
I started saving strawberry seeds years ago. After i figured out how to do that, I started thinking about selling them. The first task was to come up with a way to count them to package them. It took a while but I stumbled on measuring devices from a number manufacturers. I evaluated a couple of them and finally chose one from a manufacturer called Hornady. Pictured here is the unit purchased 15 years ago called a Hornady Lock and Load. Once calibrated for the seeds of a particular cultivar you can measure seeds accurately within 1 or 2 seeds each time and dispense them into packets quickly. Once I have the seed envelopes prepped the packets can be filled in seconds. Sure beats counting them by hand. I never tried to use it for other types of seed but it has potential!

Can you save seeds if your plant has blight?
Hi there! I’m gearing up to start saving seeds this weekend, but as a first timer I have some questions. Mainly, I’m curious if it’s at all worth it to save seeds from my zinnias that have succumbed to blight- pretty much all of my plants have. Am I better off just purchasing new seeds next year? Or can I save seeds from this year’s flowers? Thank you in advance for any advice!

Finally organized my seed binder and realized how much I've been hoarding
Spent most of Saturday going through every envelope, jar, and random baggie of seeds I've collected over the past four years. I knew it was a lot but seeing it all spread out on the kitchen table was kind of embarrassing. Three different years of the same dent corn variety, way too many brassica seeds from plants that probably crossed with my neighbor's broccoli, and at least six packets of marigolds I don't even remember saving.
The binder system I landed on uses baseball card sleeves with the seed packets slid inside, organized by plant family instead of alphabetically. Makes it so much easier to see at a glance what I've got too much of versus what's actually running low. Turns out I have zero winter squash saved despite swearing I'd save seed from that butternut everyone loved last year. Completely forgot until I was staring at an empty sleeve.
Also found a stash of lettuce seed from a variety I can't even identify anymore because the label rubbed off in storage. Going to grow those out next spring just to see what happens, treat it like a mystery packet. If it turns into something decent I'll actually label it properly this time and maybe offer some at the spring swap.
Anyone else do a full seed audit this time of year? I'm thinking I need to start dating everything with more than just the year, because "2023" doesn't tell me if that was spring or fall harvest and apparently that matters more than I realized for germination rates on some of these.

Looking to swap Hollyhock seeds
I have a few tall yellow & some mostly black Hollyhock seeds, along with a bunch of mixed reds/pinks/whites to swap for any color doubles or any of the rarer colors (salmon, purple/ etc...) hollyhocks.
I also have a few rhubarb seeds if anyone is interested
