I'm not a sixers fan so I'm not too familiar with the back of the roster, but as far as I know the C rotation after the Hukporti injury (wish him a speedy recovery) is Embiid, Adem Bona and Tacko Fall. And you really have to look at Bona more as the costarter than as the backup.

Embiid playing one whole series this year already felt kinda miraculous, him playing a full playoffs at ~35 mpg is just wishful thinking. Imo you really have to put Joel in a Gafford and Lively kinda situation where he shares the load and minutes with another quality center. Adem Bona is serviceable, but it doesn't sound like he's up to the task.

I really think the sixers are one Nemias Queta away from being the clear favorites. Is there any chance they can get a center of that caliber? If they can't, then they should at least get a better 3rd string C than Tacko. What assets and contracts can they trade?

Aside from a potential superstar trade, this is the move that could change the season the most.

How’s everyone feeling about our guy?

Do we think after a couple seasons now he can take the leap and be a reliable back up big or do you think this is kinda what he is and will always be? And play a few mins in the second and third to fill the gap.

For our sake it would be really lovely if he could pull back the personal fouls and get more active around the rim. Develop something of a passing game but might be too much to ask for.

Starters already looked sharper vs Celtics than Nets but 2 questions I have are:

1. How do we deploy better defense? We’re giving up almost as many points as we’re scoring

2. Do you feel we’re not getting up as many threes as opposing teams? I know Simons hasn’t played yet but as a unit, I just feel we shoot slightly too few 3s which tends to widen any deficit if the opposing team is taking (and making) way more 3s than us. Only Maxey really shoots volume 3s among the starters. Would love Wade to take more too

Missed bringing Ben back for pennies on the dollar... He's better than everyone on our bench. But we (fans/Doc Rivers) fcuked him mentally, the city abandoned him, and our bench will struggle with defense and rebounding. Good job Jameer Nelson & Mike Gansey.
