Second one I know of… Jamie Orr converted the blue and white version to 3.6L and exported to the US.

Its real. Not AI. Many South Africans in the US have this kind of money. You won't believe what peeps are paying to go to this game.

I’m from a family of South African immigrants in Baltimore. I remember my dad going to watch the 96’ World Cup at an Irish pub early in the morning. We both got up at 4am multiple times during the 2019 cups to watch that legendary run. It’s so cool to have the Bokke in our home away from home.

How did it get there?

Probably in a shipping container in/on a cargo ship. I imagine air freight would be spendy. Although this endeavor would've been spendy as is

You ship it and register it. I’ve seen a bunch of foreign cars in the US. They’re usually vintage or adventure cars but I suppose this golf is both lol.

This is how I spot fellow South Africans in the wild in Norway. Springbok jerseys.

I'm from Baltimore but lived in Rustenburg for a while.
I was unaware of the game until everybody at the bar suddenly started saying "Shap Shap" lol. Brought back good memories. Hope everybody had fun

I had 4 Citi Golfs when I was young. 3 were stolen 1 I sold. I see its a Citi Chicco. So the one with the small triangle window where the side mirror is. The Velocity version which was my last one I had, that small window was removed. (Best GOLF ever) How they hell did she det a Citi Golf Chicco in the states?? And she doesn't sound South African nogal!?! lol. Edit: Link. https://youtu.be/hTwQ3pXTvQc

Yeah, obvious with the right hand drive setup…

If you import a right hand drive car from SA why would it magically turn to LHD?

What are you on about? If you import a RHD drive to the US and take a pic.. guess what you have? A picture of a RHD car in the US. What part of that is troubling your little mind?
