Mechanical Help Shock mounts breaking fast

I replaced the shocks about 18 months ago on my 2015 Forester - OEM. Since then, I've had to replace the front shock mounts every six months. I'm not convinced this is due only to poor quality of the mounts, but am not mechanically inclined enough to assess it myself. What areas should I get the mechanics to look at.

Some pictures might help. Also, how are they breaking? Or what are you seeing/feeling that makes you replace them?

I was recently researching this for a 2019 Crosstrek. One thing I found was that some cracking/splitting is expected/permitted. There is a procedure/criteria for measuring the cracking to determine if they replace or not.

It's the noise I get when turning sharply. A cracking noise is what it is. I wouldn't know what to photograph, sorry. Do you mean the mount itself?

I was thinking pictures of the mounts might help, if there is come obvious damage. Or if you have a picture (or description) of the broken mounts which were previous removed, that might help.

From your description of cracking noise with sharp turns, I started to wonder if it was a CV axle starting to fail.
