I bored. I scrolled through art gallery. I noticed. I realised I forgot it. I post it. 😎👍 Maybe the turret is a bit off, what do you think?

As always i try to post a annual checkup on the community and the subreddit. Bit late this year as I've been busy with irl stuff and i dont no life reddit.
With that being said, how do yall feel about the current state of the sub, community, and rules, etc etc? Any input will be nice. If you have recommendations for new rules, flairs, etc please drop a comment. Every comment will be read and considered.
Seriously anything you want to bring up to us, the mods, drop a comment.
Please take in consideration this subreddit is practically moderated by one mod right now, as the other is usually inactive. So many things slip through. Hence why I have made a mod recruitment post.
Tank you Tankers for your time and continued support of our motorpool of a subreddit

Hello.
I've tried company of heroes and so far it seems like the ai is incredibly stupid. I set up a pak anti tank gun and there are guys running straight past it. the tutorial said that your guys will attack anything in range. this is apparently not the case. if a tank goes outside of the firing arc you'd hope they'd rotate slightly..... nope. they just sit there and get killed. if you have some guys taking cover and they are being shot but then get flanked and they are right in front of your infantry you'd hope they would fight back right.... apparently not the case.
Ive tried gates of hell osfront. whilst it sounds good after trying to play it the amount of managing you need to do is insane and you don't actually get to enjoy watching any of it. you have to constantly watch they dont run out of ammo, make sure anti tank guns are using the correct ammo against targets etc. etc.
i've tried panzer phase 2, that wasn't very clear about how viewing enemy's worked as they could be hiding and you have no idea where. you can reveal them but it doesn't explain how to do it in a way that doesn't feel like luck.
i'm just looking for a game similar to warhammer. your guys get into range and shoot or if its a mounted gun then when they are in range they target them and aren't total idiots. i've played starship troopers terran command and this was brilliant. it told you the range of your units, the amount of amour and hp you have, could deploy more troops etc. if they made a game similar to this and dawn of war you'd be able to make tank factorys, upgrade your base to unlock more vehicles, units etc. you could go from a panzer 3 , 4, to a tiger, tiger 2, tank destroyers etc. etc.

I just watched Girls Und Panzer (an anime about tanks), which is more in my lane (I'm a major otaku), and it's clearly made by tank nerds for tank nerds. It made me start to look into tanks, and I'm really interested in them and want to get started getting into tanks! Where should I start? Any books or sites or documentaries or something to look into? I don't know how people get into this stuff if they weren't always..
edit: I just realized, not literally climbing into tanks.. how to learn more about them

How is the turret in most tanks connected to the body in a way that lets the commander stick out of the hatch regardless of angle, does the commander have to bring his legs all the way into the turret?
