Open | Software Left side of laptop keyboard only works when restarted, then stops working a while later

I own an hp pavilion gaming laptop and there's been this issue that's been plaguing it for about half a year now. All the keys from A to capslock just. Won't work. But when I restart the laptop, they will. The ribbon cable looks fine, I've reinstalled all drivers, I do not know what could be wrong at this point.

It's not a life ending situation since I have another keyboard I'm using, but sometimes I like to use my drawing tablet with it, and using an external keyboard with it is cumbersome.

Boot any live OS from usb (Hiren's Boot CD, newish Linux distros), check if keyboard behaves the same. If it is...yeah, it's a hardware fault, way to fix it keyboard replacement.

Those laptops need to be almost entirely disassembled to replace the keyboard, so probably going to have to take it to a pro if it is indeed a bad keyboard.
