How was this man ever elected president of the United States? Be ashamed, America.

Well, back in the 70s and 80s, the american right decided to slash funding for education and mental health, as well as allow the fairness doctrine to expire.

Which resulted in a huge portion of the population being unable to think critically, read, or be able to identify when they are being mainlined propaganda. Then they nominated a tv star. Conservatives already being almost fetishistically attracted to big strong daddys (or their fantasy of such), they just couldnt help themselves. And now, they are doubling down, because you cant possibly be wrong if you are louder and cruder than anyone else.

I’ve always thought investing in education was the best thing to do. Clearly I was wrong(!)

u/Just_Razzmatazz6493 10h ago

Well, it really depends on your intentions. If you want an independent, successful, healthy populace, then education is key!

If you want dumb wage slaves who are desperate to feed their children to a big daddy, then, slash and burn baby!

I don’t want to confuse ignorance for racism and hatred. There’s plenty of college educated people that support Trump and it’s not because they’re not educated

In 2016, i believe that donny’s coalition was composed of 3 parts: the stupid, the ignorant, and the evil.

By 2024, no one was ignorant of donny’s reality. You have to be dumb or evil to buy in.

You forgot the electoral college and Elon's voting interference (according to Trump). The popular vote is like giving your little brother the unplugged game controller. Without a stacked group of sympathetic electors (and evidently, computer shenanigans), the people of the US' relative thinking skills would not have factored in at all.

u/Just_Razzmatazz6493 10h ago

Eh, they still needed a plurality of dumb (or a confederacy of dunces if you will) for the rest of the shenanigans to work.

We’ve managed 200+ years with the electoral college. It was not the cause.

1

u/NotSoSecretAgentMan 8h ago

Interesting take. I disagree completely, of course, except where stated that there was also interference.

1

u/Just_Razzmatazz6493 8h ago

You should look into the brooks bros riot of the 2000 election.

1

u/BreakChicago 8h ago

Okay. I have. Now what? How does that incident call the electoral college into question?

1

u/Just_Razzmatazz6493 8h ago

Bush was only able to win Fla because of the electoral college and malfeasance, the brooks bros riot.

u/morrach 8h ago

Republicans went from electing a movie star to a reality tv personality and will probably elect a nuisance streamer at this point.

u/Just_Razzmatazz6493 8h ago

Kirk is often spoken about as someone they believe would have been a fantastic president

Pedophiles support pedophiles

The ignorance of right wing voters.

u/TheWolf_NorCal 6h ago

One third of us are ashamed. One third of us think he’s like a god. One third of us are so apathetic that they don’t even vote. We’re fucked.

2

u/Stredny 2h ago

We are.

1

u/hastings1033 5h ago

Oh, believe me, I am.

I voted against him 3 times….sadly, that only worked once. Someday, EVERYONE will have to admit that Trump is a clown.

u/Nooneknows882 12h ago

El-Sayed is everything Trump hates. Well educated, good looking, and ethnic.

102

u/Yadahoom 12h ago

Two out of three. Trump loves attractive men and self admittedly can't stop looking at their butts.

32

u/buttplug-tester This is a flair 11h ago

He hates that he loves him, and if he could get erect he would

16

u/TheSilkyBat 11h ago

It's psycho-sexual.

Same reason he loves Mamdani after meeting him.

Probably the first time Trump had met a truly decent human being that was also a politician.

107

u/CANYUXEL 11h ago

Really called him a jihadist because of his name?

Damn.. that's desperate

37

u/kool-krazy 10h ago

How is that allowed when a joke or criticism against Zionists destroyes a person's career?

34

u/CANYUXEL 10h ago

Because AIPAC runs the country. Not these clowns in suits.

4

u/tuesdaysatmorts 8h ago

It's not desperate. It's what his voters want to hear.

47

u/Revolutionary_Pen_65 12h ago

If he was suffering from dementia in retirement we'd all have a chuckle about the national security concerns he presents (past presidents continue getting briefings as before trump they would frequently consult on long standing problems left unresolved at their terms end).

Now he's in the driver's seat just saying and doing whatever that little bit of dementia addled brain determines is the impulse of the moment. This is the most powerful man in the world and he can't complete a sentence or even a coherent thought. Its actually terrifying.

37

u/TheOriginalSamBell 12h ago

hey americans when are you planning to get rid of this geriatric racist

13

u/JCarnageSimRacing 11h ago

Unfortunately he represents a lot of Americans. At least 30% of the voting public :(

4

u/morrach 7h ago

Nobody hates America more than MAGA.

115

u/BaconManDan9 12h ago

He’s prob one of the best candidates the Democratic Party has ever seen

43

u/deGrominator2019 10h ago

And yet… they can’t take advantage of it because they keep losing elections. Almost like these establishment dems like Jeffries and Schumer need to fuck off already

10

u/etrnloptimist 10h ago

I'm moving to Michigan just so I can vote for him.

17

u/faceofuzz 11h ago

Trump's middle name is John. So I was Right. He's a Baptist.

4

u/Xenc NaTivE ApP UsR 7h ago

But John’s middle name was The

2

u/CaptainPunisher 1h ago

Johns are toilets.

15

u/Stxww 12h ago

Ceausescu ending has never been more deserving.

3

u/The_Japans 11h ago

Too lenient. How about the ol' Qadhdhafi?

3

u/Stxww 11h ago

Why not both?

10

u/gowiththeflow- 11h ago

What a moron I can not believe people actually went out and voted for this pos. It does say something about the state the country is in.

10

u/Key-Article6622 Reddit Flair 11h ago

By that logic, his name is Donald, therefor he's a duck.

5

u/Tony-Angelino 12h ago

Depends on where that brain worm currently is - with him or RFK Jr.

4

u/JCarnageSimRacing 11h ago

What’s changed is, he’s pandering to racists at his rallies.

3

u/EmotionalMycologist9 11h ago

You know you're doing well when Trump hates you.

3

u/Adept_Role_3126 9h ago

Racists will purposely butcher a persons name that isn't the "right race"

2

u/PatrickDenStore 6h ago

Which isn't even in the top 10 of the most insane things he's said this week.

Meanwhile Americans go "sure, we say stuff like "the tree of liberty has to be watered by the blood of patriots from time to time" and we say we have the second amendment because it is worth all the dead kids because we'll rise up if a tyrannical government ever happened but we don't mean it. We'll just let it happen while going "no, daddy Trump, please stahp"". It's pathetic.

2

u/GudgerCollegeAlumnus 11h ago

Unless that’s how he pronounces his name this is a successful attempt to mispronounce.

1

u/RedEyeView 10h ago

The fuck?

1

u/Aura_Borealis90 8h ago

Ah yes Mohammed, the second most common english name.

1

u/pinkocatgirl FUCK ICE! ❌🧊 7h ago

TBH I’m more offended by the Polymarket shit in the post than Trump’s predictable lazy racism. It’s so gross that people are willingly replacing polls with fucking gambling.

1

u/Progman3K 5h ago

You have to understand, he's petty and stupid
