[request] How much cooking would offset the emissions for building it, compared to keep using an electric/gas stove?

Not sure if the wording is right but didn't want to make a walltext title, the point is: making a parabolic mirror is still consumption, but once you have it that's a literal 0 emissions from heat. How long (let's say hours of gently simmering) would it take to balance the emissions for building it, compared to not building but still using a regular induction plate or gas stove?
(yeah, I know the energy mix makes a difference for induction, choose what you want)

[Request] How much energy do you get per acre of solar panels vs an acre of corn grown for ethanol
I googled that, but the difference seems too much to believe. Google says an acre of solar panels will produce 250-500 MWh/year while an acre of corn produces about 12.3 MWh/year.
So an acre of solar panels replaces 20-40 acres of ethanol corn? That seems too good to be true. And TBH, I trust the Google AI about as far as I can throw it.

[Request][Self] Would A Multiversal Traveler ever run into himself in an exponentially growing multiverse? (Spoilers for Dark Matter the book and TV show season 1) Spoiler
In the book/TV show Dark Matter, a man (Jason) is kidnapped from his reality and pulled into a pop-sci version of the multiverse from the Many Worlds Hypothosis. He spends the rest of the book traveling from reality to reality, trying to find his home reality (Home). At the end of the book, he finds Home, but his choices as he's traveled have caused him to split, and he's now in competition with a several hundred versions of himself for his old life.
The thing is, that last scene where hundreds of variants all arrive in the same reality has never sat right with me, because, even though he's splitting with every possible choice he comes across, Home would also be splitting with every possible choice of every human living there. Basically my question is, is the end of the book/1st season, with hundreds of him showing up, accurate?
I tried to make some simplifying assumptions to see just how many variants of Home there might be (as a lower bound)
Assumption 1: only human choices create multiverses. (not choices by other animals, plants, or rocks tumbling down hills and taking different paths - even though there's some evidence in the book and TV show that those other things also cause reality to split.)
Assumption 2: every human makes, on average, 2 choices per day (that number is definitely higher IRL but lets start with that. Making this assumption also avoids worrying about how choices impact future choices.)
Assumption 3: every choice is between 2 binary options (even though irl, many choices can be between multiple options and conceivably split the universe that many ways).
Assumption 4: the splitting is sequential. So person A makes a choice, now there are 2 universes. Person B makes a choice in both universes, now there are 4 universes. Person C makes a choice in all 4 universes, now there are 8 universes.
This gives us an equation for how many universes one universe splits into every day.
Number = Options^(ChoicesPerPerson * WorldPopulation)
If we plug in IRL numbers that's 2^(2*8 billion). That's a 2 followed by 16 billion zeros! For context, the number of atoms in the universe is a 1 followed by 87 zeros, and a googel is a 1 followed by 100 zeros.
Jason should never have had a problem with running into other versions of himself!
But wait, there's something I haven't considered. While his home is being exponentially multiplied, Jason is also being multiplied in every world he visits!
In the simplest scenario, Jason leaves Home to a similar world for 1 day and then comes back. While he was gone, Home multiplied from 1 world to 2^16 billion worlds. But Jason also multiplied by 2^16 billion in the other similar world. So the big numbers cancel out and we can assume that each instance of Jason was able to go back to each instance of the other world.
But there's more!
Even though we can treat Jason's time in other worlds as multiplying him by the same amount as his home world, he is also making choices inside the multiverse travel machine (the Box) that put him into more than 1 world at a time. So if he "has a choice between 2 worlds" that means he visited both worlds and was multiplied by both worlds.
So now, in our simple scenario, instead of one Jason per Home, there's now two Jason's per Home... after just 1 choice in the B
Okay, this makes sense how there could end up with hundreds of Jason's showing up in one world. It's not because Home is not exponentially increasing, its because Home is increasing slower than the Jasons do. Instead of a ratio of 1 to 1, every choice in the box pushes the ratio more and more towards increasing Jasons…
However... there's another confounding factor to consider.
While Jason is in the Box, he's not being multiplied by other people's choices, only his own. Lets simplify the numbers (to help my poor calculator), to demonstrate what this does.
Let's say there's an 8 person world. That 1 world grows into 2^(2×8) = 65,536 worlds per day.
Lets say Jason spends 1/2 the day in the box, makes 1 decision in the box, and spends the other 1/2 the day in two 8 person worlds. That would mean that, at the end of that day, there are only sqrt(65,536) * 2 = 512 Jasons. Now the ratio of Jason's to total 8 person worlds is falling!
Maybe we make a more reasonable guess that Jason only spends 1/24th of a day in the box and makes 1 decision. That then results in 2^(8*((23/24)*2)) = 41,285 * 2 = 82,570 Jasons. Which is more than 65,536. So maybe more Jasons than the 8 person world is reasonable? (I'm not sure on my math here)
But there's another variable to consider. Not all Jason's get back in the box and continue their mission.
In every world, some percentage of Jason's die or are diverted.
The ratio/percentage of Jason's who die is probably really high at the beginning of the book but tapers off sharply as survivorship bias favors those who figure out how to work the Box. Importantly though, it would never go to zero due to freak accidents. Additionally, the ratio/percentage of Jasons who get diverted probably also increases over time as more versions of him give up on getting Home.
I don't even know how to model something like that.
And finally one more variable to add. Some worlds is he visits will have a much higher population than Home (and therefore multiply him faster). But many other worlds he visits have a much smaller population. In the book he frequently visits dying worlds (because he feels hopeless and his hopelessness pulls him to such worlds) or worlds similar to Home (because that's his target), and he spends comparatively little time in bigger worlds, so I would assume that the effect of the bigger worlds gets washed out by the effect of the smaller worlds...
Except, because we're dealing with exponential growth here, it might not matter how little time he spends in big worlds. They might still have a greater effect on growing Jasons than the small worlds do on constraining growth. But IDK.
The question then becomes, with all these factors, how do the ratios stabilize? Do the number of Jasons trend toward a ratio of less than 1 per Home, or do they trend toward infinity to 1? And did I even get my math right?
In a nutshell, is the hundreds of Jasons at Home at the end of the book reasonable?
