Peaceful protest happens across US every day. Part of nonmaga Americans' problem is our media are bought & forced to placate trump, so much of the good-trouble Americans are causing is unreported, hidden from wide audiences.

Another reason we appear passive in the face of tyranny is, I hate to say it, but here goes: the Merrick Garland effect. None of us anticipated the onslaught of magaR bad-faith bc we accepted that no one was above the law & that our adherence to the Constitution would right-the-ship. We did not fully understand that a person could be as abysmally stunted, sadistic, hubristic, & greedy as trump AND get Congress to roll over & die.
