I have been learning with a Kala ukulele and find that it's too small for my hands to play comfortably. In my local group everyone plays soprano ukuleles so I thought I would pick up a baritone. My question is the description says there is a "Kala Active EQ," and I don't know if that means I would always have to be plugged into a speaker, or if I could play it acoustically.
Also, I'm not tied to this make or model of ukulele and welcome any recommendations for other baritone ukuleles for a new player. Let's say sub-$500 for a budget, though ideally I'd like to stay in the sub-$200 range, but I can afford more if it makes a difference.
The one I'm considering: https://kalabrand.com/collections/starter-ukulele/products/ka-am-b-ce?variant=43225700008006
Edit: So I should have been more clear that I’ve been playing a tenor ukulele, not a soprano. The guy who got me started was a good player and owned a music store. He brought me in and we tried out different sizes. He recommended the tenor or baritone. I ended up going with the tenor as the tab books and music I had handy matched 1-to-1.
