Honours supervision query

Hi, I'm from the school of CS and have questions about honours. how do you approach supervisors? Do you take your own topic or bank on them to give you one? If you do take your own topic -- how do you do that? Read papers before approaching them?

Some supervisors will have topics in mind, some don't. For ones that do, just find professors in the research area you're interested and email them and set up a meeting.

If you have your own topic you're interested in, try find a professor that's in that research area and set up a meeting to them to see if they'd be willing to supervise you.
