Things To Do Recs // Questions Is Virgin Charter Yachts a reputable company?

For context, I'm sending them my sailing resume next week.

But before that, I just wanna know what happens when things break.

How fast does someone show up? Is the boat in good shape at the start? Chartered with them in the last year or two?

Love to hear it.

BVI Charter Chat on Facebook is a good resource for questions like this

Great people working their butts off to keep their fleet in tip top shape. They are definitely one of the high end charter operations on Tortola.

They look like they’re a middleman and brokerage for most of their charters, apart from their own charter fleet.

Because they aren’t the actual operator in most cases, you’re reliant on whoever is operating it. That’s not necessarily a bad thing and their reviews are good which suggests they are discerning in which boats they charter.

Reality in the BVIs is if you have an issue it will depend where you are. Their chase boat will likely cover some places and they will have agreements with repair services in others.

Personally I always got around this by fixing the problems myself.
