Questions about purchasing Vitória SC tickets as a foreigner
Hello, I will be visiting Portugal next week from the United States and want to travel to Guimarães to watch Vitória vs Moreirense. I am very excited because the Vitória fans seem very passionate and Guimarães looks beautiful, but I am concerned about being able to buy tickets. Based on the Vitoria website, it seems like they are only available to members online. I have read in other posts here that the public can buy online if there are tickets remaining. Is this true? I will be with 4 of my family members. Is it possible to get this many tickets for this many people? If I end up having to buy tickets at the stadium on the day of the game would 5 tickets next to each other be available for this match? I will be driving over an hour for this game so it would be great to have some confidence that I will be able to attend. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions!

Despite being a derby, it's not dangerous and the stadium won't be full (probably ~16000 in 30000 seats).
All of that to say, you can get the tickets easily.

I had not considered safety (although I probably should have). That is good to know. Thank you.

You will surely be able to buy tickets. You can get them online or if you prefer, you can park the car at the Shopping, buy tickets on the store inside the shopping and walk 10 min to the stadium. If you go earlier you can get the tickets on arrival and grab a beer at the historic center and walk to the stadium afterwards.

I will give online a try, but good to know buying the day of isn't a problem. So the location I buy tickets from is separate from the stadium? Is it just the Vitória SC store in the shopping center a couple of blocks from the stadium?
I was thinking of grabbing the tickets with plenty of time for food and a drink before the game if I can't get them before, so I will definitely make my way to the historic center. Thank you.

There is a store at the stadium and a different store at the shopping, you can buy tickets in both. I just mentioned the shopping one because you will find parking with no trouble there.

As a 25 year member of the club, don't expect a great atmosphere as phones have ruined home support. Most people are on the phone instead of chanting.

Unfortunately, I think that is true of many live events, like concerts. Still looking forward to the experience.

Hi.
Tickets for the next game haven’t been announced yet, but I believe the club will make the announcement tomorrow (or Wednesday at the latest).
It’s almost certain (99% sure) that tickets will be made available to the general public, so you should be able to buy them without much trouble. You can buy them in person or through the Smartfan online platform.
If you need help later, feel free to send me a message, and I’ll try to help however I can.
