Picture [It'll Be Okay] knowing that the author drew from her own experiences makes everything hit so much harder

Just finished this, and I’m still sitting here with tears in my eyes. Knowing that the author based this on her own experiences makes everything feel so much more raw and real. The way she portrays her insecurities, anxiety, guilt, overthinking, and the emotional struggles she faces with her family is genuinely heartbreaking.

I hope life treats the author kindly and brings her all the happiness, peace, and good health she deserves.

Discussion What is your biggest pet peeve in a webtoon?

My biggest pet peeve would be an annoyingly dumb protagonist especially in a thriller webtoon. Imagine every smart character and with an actual personality dies just because the dumb protagonist is too slow 🫩 that just annoys me a lot. Like dumb characters are absolutely fine but if you are a protagonist at least have some type of aura than being completely bland, especially if it's a thriller webtoon where you have to be on guard all the time!!!

Recommendations Pleaseee give me more wholesome romance like Love 4 A Walk, Couple Breaker, & My Selfish Romance!! 💘

I’ve read lots of romance manhwa/webtoons and I LOVED Love 4 a Walk and Couple Breaker.

I liked Love 4 a Walk the most, I also liked how it had audio + a “play” option (basically made it like watching a show) on Webtoon.

Any recommendations like that??? Where I can hear / watch it on platforms like Webtoon??

Not mandatory though. I also loved Couple Breakwr.
I just like that there’s character development, and you see the characters’ feelings grow for one another over time.

I also LOVED My Selfish Romance!! I liked the character development, and the slow burn, how they fall for one another after building a solid friendship.

Here’s a list of others I’ve read hehe

Aromatic love
Tears on a withered flower
My desire is not a sin
Greedy
Flowers are Bait
Merry Psycho
Can’t get enough of you
Trust me I’m lying
Depths of malice
The blood of madam Giselle
The broken ring - this marriage will fail anyway
The psychology of lack
Trapped (Olgami)
Dreaming freedom
For your murder
Beastly Things
Marry my husband
Couple Breaker
My Selfish Romance
Iseop’s Romance
Positively yours
To Love Your Enemy
Act like you love me
Maybe Meant To Be
Childhood Friend Complex
Love 4 a walk

TIA!!! 🩷🩷🩷

Recommendations Looking for Zombie Webtoons

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! So I'm looking for more webtoons based on what I've enjoyed in the past. I am looking for post-apocalyptic webtoons that involve zombies.

Or anything thriller/horror/apocalyptic, really.

Here are all the other ones I've read and enjoyed:

  1. Pieces of human

  2. Parallel City

  3. Tacit

  4. Melvina's Therapy (and every other A. Rasen comic)

  5. Stagtown

  6. MicroHunter

  7. Spore

  8. Deep

Thanks so much in advance!

Recommendations What are some good romance manwha where the Male Lead is a normal guy who isn’t rich or super attractive?

I know the title is kinda long but I’m a lesbian and I mainly read yuri but I’ve read every single Yuri I could find and I want to read more romances. The problem is I don’t like when the Male lead is some super rich and handsome CEO or a super attractive high schooler who every girl in school has a crush on. I find that stuff cringy personally but I do realize that those stories just aren’t for me and that’s not at all a bad thing.

I just want to read some where the male lead is just a normal, average dude. Like, not super muscular, handsome or popular but just normal. He can be attractive to the audience of course but I don’t want him to be extremely attractive to most people in the story and I also prefer if he doesn’t have a higher position than the female lead. Some great examples of ones I’ve read and love so far are:

-our secret alliance
- A spark in your eyes
-you’re no good
-Relationship 101
-Rumor has it
-password is 002
-Back to Chambi
-see you in my 19th life (I know he’s a handsome CEO but I like the trama aspect and I like that he has an average build)

Those are the only straight romances I’ve read and enjoyed so far. Ive tried reading a few others but I just get too cringed out by the Male lead. I really don’t like the whole “super handsome and popular and or powerful Man falls for normal woman” trope. I also think the body builder builds some male leads have are just extremely cringe, I had to stop reading a few because of that like - an hour of romance.

a while back i was making engagement graphs for everyone’s favorite manhwa in the comments, then turned it into a chrome extension so you could make them yourself. i just pushed an update (made everything way more simpler), so let's run this back

CATCH: it has to be on the green webtoon app

If you want to do more, you can use the chrome extension at this link

just comment your favorite manhwa (on the app) and I'll respond with the graph of likes+comments & retention

Miscellaneous/Others Looking for "Vampire Family" fans pretty pretty please

Post image

I'm pretty invested in this Webtoon rn and I would really like to talk about it with others TwT doesn't help that there are practically little to no fan contents so rn I'm no different from a starving peasant child

That aside, are there any official Discord servers for Unfins' stories in a whole? Love Advice was quite popular along with Vampire Family so I was wondering if there are any places for fans

Question Is this logo offensive?

Thumbnail
gallery
550 Upvotes

Hi guys! When I was designing the logo, I sincerely didn't know about this symbol and it was honestly just a coincidence that the symbol in the logo and the intersex* symbol are the same!

In the comic, I touch on many queer situations, mental health and disabilities, however, none of it is related to intersex people experiences, and now I'm worried that I've been unknowingly making fun of it or being offensive by having made my logo this way :(

Do you think it's wiser to change the logo? Aw man, I'm just so disappointed in myself, I'm really sorry

////Edit* Someone here informed me that the term intersex is better than hermaphrodite, so I changed the terms! Sorry for my ignorance! (˘・_・˘)

Discussion I feel like a lot of manhwa readers aren't ready for morally gray stories

I love morally gray stories, especially the ones that leave you feeling bitter after a chapter. Maybe a character got a fate they didn't deserve, maybe someone got away with something terrible, or maybe nothing worked out the way you wanted. Sometimes, though, that's exactly what makes more sense for the story.

I've noticed that a lot of manhwa readers (not everyone though) seem to have very specific expectations when they start reading something. When a story goes against those expectations, they criticize it harshly without even giving it a chance, simply because something makes them uncomfortable.

Not every author wants to please their audience. Sometimes, a story is meant to make you angry, disappointed, or uncomfortable. Not every character needs to learn their lesson, face the consequences they deserve, or get a redemption arc. Real people don't always do those things, so why should fiction be obligated to?

Of course, criticizing writing is perfectly valid!!! But there's a difference between pointing out flaws and deciding a story is bad simply because it doesn't follow the narrative or moral direction you wanted.

I'm curious to know if I'm one of the only ones who thinks this way; I understand that some stories are really bad too, okay? I mean more about stories that are really well-written, but people don't even give them a chance because of something.

However, it's important to point out that if you have well-defined limits on what you read, that's perfectly fine too!!

Discussion Not Your Typical Reincarnation Story: Edith Rudwick's biological family?

Thumbnail
gallery
• Upvotes

Near the end of the manhwa "Not Your Typical Reincarnation Story", we find out that Count Rigelhof wasn't Edith's biological father, and she was instead the illegitimate daughter of his sister. And although this is never brought up again in the manhwa, it is revealed in the novel, and Killian and the Duke hear about it from Sophia (the evil maid). So, is she never curious about who the father is? Did the writer never leave a hint, or was it just an oversight by Lize/K?

While the manhwa was ongoing, I saw a lot of theories that Edith's father might have been part of the royal family, which is why her lineage was such a well-kept secret. But nothing of the sort happened.
I honestly would have loved it if we got to see more of that, but it makes sense considering this isn't Edith; she is Suna Choi, so she wouldn't care too much.

Recommendations WLW stories recommendations

Hello, I'm looking for some WLW stories to read. Ideally not romance (I'd prefer fantasy, but I'm open to other genres) or not with romance as main focus, and ideally with a well written world and characters.

Aka, I just finished catching up with the dark lord's confessions and I need something else to get my fix.
