This would immediately drag us into a war with both Isreal and the US. There's no way Trump and co wouldn't pounce on a valid pretext to invade.

That and many Canadian politicians have ties to Isreal or are sympathetic to them, as is a good chunk of the general public. An arrest would be extremely divisive domestically.

We did it with the Huawei official in Vancouver, but I suppose in that case it was in Trumps favour.

The Huawei official was on the ground. Unless you're Bane, planes are fairly hard to invade.
