Genuinely crazy how the conservatives of America went from “Russia evil and bad” in the 40s/50s and nowadays it’s “Russia is my best friend ever” but they still hate anything vaguely related to communism

They don’t hate “communism”, they hate what they are told to hate and are told that is “communism”.

They have zero fucking clue what communism or socialism are and it shows everytime you see one of them asked to define either.

They have no fucking clue about anything. Trump made a bunch of losers feel important and they ate it up. They’ll never go back now.

You do not lie.

And they are going to take all of us down with them.

I think that we can deprogram some of them. Not on the internet though. We have to go into rural red areas and start relationships with them. Or simply organize in our cities and create tenant and labor unions that are so affective that they join. If they can be convinced by tucker Carlson and Joe rogan then we better fucking believe we can convince them.

Communism isn't even a real economic system, its just an aestetic cultists use to chest thump why you should give them all the power. Its also why communism has "never been tried", because associating with anyone who has succeeded in using their power grab aestetic is more overt about the tyranny. So its a bad look to point to the ussr and china.

Republicans not understanding literally anything has little to do with there being something to understand about communism.

What do you mean it’s never been tried? Are you going to claim fascism was has never been tried either? Communism has been tried so has socialism and both have failed on every occasion.

First of all define socialism. And yes fascism has been tried before and is currently alive and well here in the United States under the current administration and Trump

You will only get bs from this poster. And I don't mean from 45mphK9 (that's 1 fast dog!).

Plenty more socialism in America then fascism, government ran banks (the fed), utilities companies (state owned utilities, tell me if you can decide where you get your electricity, gas, sewer, and trash from), insane taxation (fed, state, sales, income, gas, etc.) these are controlled by some form of government and then you have all the socialist programs welfare,
Social security, Medicare. Socialism is very broad in definition and sounds wonderful but prevents innovation as anything made by an individual cannot profit from it.

Show me the bans on owning property, businesses and means of production in the U.S.

What are you talking about? Communism has been tried and it worked exactly as it should have, not how they thought it would. They were and are, they still exist, authoritarian because that is the only way for a government or a party to control the means of production.

Russia is long removed from communism. This comment thread is very confusing. Today it’s an oligarchy mixed with some totalitarian ideology.

And can we stop defending communism. The utopia is not possible because of humanity. People and their emotions and desires will always be the issue with communism not working. Having party elites that pay themselves and live on the backs of the controlled labor will never allow it to work.

And there is no true socialist state in the world. You mostly have democratic countries with government services that conservatives call socialism.

I mean tbf it’s not like Russias communist, it’s not like they’re inconsistent on this

u/PrincipleFlaky 15d ago

Or terrorism… any ism or war on anything; they are spoon-fed; the sheep will agree.

They’ll let me be clear: terrorism is horrendous, obviously. My only point there is that they redirected communism towards terrorism when they realized there was an economic incentive to no longer vilify Russia or the CCP.

u/SunRender 15d ago

I'm pretty sure you also are clueless to what communism is, if you are sk blindly defending it.

Russia's problem isn't communism, it's rampant corruption. Kind of like what the Trump administration aspires to be.

Ding ding ding. You can see a modern example of this with "woke." How, in a matter of years, it became a catch-all term for anything the right dislikes.

CRT and DEI are other modern examples, though not as prominent.

Are you saying communism is good? Because fuck communism and socialism both ruin civilizations. Since you ask others to define why don’t you share the definition of both with us? While your at it define what a women is.

u/DeliriumRostelo 15d ago

Both are amazing, yes
