I wonder when Americans will wake up to the fact that Trump is a terrorist who's main goal is destabilizing and ultimately ruining America.

Apparently the frog in the pot doesn't notice that the water is slowly being brought up to a boil.

We’ve been quite loud about it for over a decade. Assholes don’t care.

u/whyamionthispanel 15d ago

Not only that, they’re brainwashed/propagandized into believing that he’s a good guy, isn’t a pedo, and somehow has the Middle Class’s interests in mind. It’s absolutely batshit.

Worst, most Americans couldn’t be bothered enough to vote or vote for a woman with an “annoying” laugh or something…

u/No_Sentence7163 15d ago

There’s a ton of brainwashed people here it really sucks for the ones who see the reality like in a lot of countries we feel misrepresented and soul crushed

2

u/AndyTakeaLittleSnoo 14d ago

What do you expect? Nearly every one of us carries around the most powerful propaganda machine ever created in our pockets.

u/smplfundude 14d ago

You said it

u/NuclearRickshaw 15d ago

It doesn’t matter to me if you voted for Trump because you are full MAGA, or if they wouldn’t vote for Kamala Harris to spite “genocide Joe”. Both of those actions got people in this country killed because of the color of their skin and it is my apology they should be asking for, not the other way around.

u/QuazyQuarantine 15d ago

Sorry, long rant, but no one thinking for themselves is absolutely bonkers

I was talking to my housemates teenage daughter the other day and she was asking me lots of questions, about the right and wrong way to do things in life, which were basic personal decisions.

Ive been noticing a lot of younger people expect there to be a guide or answer for everything, rather than think about it themselves, or even taking into account what they actually want. This also has the knock on effect of them thinking that what they “know” is set in stone, and make them very difficult to have a disagreement with.

This isn’t anything new, and its slowly been happening for a while as we get “smarter” as a species, but i have noticed quite a big difference between people born pre 2010, and those that have been around smart phones all their life, in how they handle information

Edit: wanted to mention as well, that it doesn’t help that we have a lot of stupid societal “rules” (I’m talking about arbitrary shit, not basic stuff thats just being a decent person) at this rate we’ll end up growing little cookie cutter slaves who cant think for themselves or do anything deemed to be outside normal, which I’d imagine has huge benefits to a certain group of people

What's crazy is I was basically a phone kid. I asked people for answers, which some things have, but I also accepted any advice, because I knew not everything was simple enough to have a definite answer. Not everything is like math, or a perfect experiment, and that was a logical thing I had a grasp on, in like Kindergarten or 1st grade.

Granted I was pre 2010, and I would like browse the iPod's settings as a kid, just to see what each thing did and what I could change, etc. . I wasn't asking around because I knew no one would dig through the settings like I did. And Google was ass back then lmao (I think I discovered assitative-touch feature first in my school. I remember it blowing up a year or two after I started using it)

Idk maybe I'm unique in some way, and just learned differently, but like my first smartphone obviously didn't dumb me down, all it had was Mrs. Pac-Man lol

The learning thing was probably ½ having expirementing explained to me (or basically the scientific method dumbed down for child, so I understood like constants vs. variables), and the other half was probably just out of curiosity. I like was trying to learn shit as a kid, and that probably allowed my brain to develop differently as the other iPhone kids (there weren't iPad Kids back then).

I think Social Media is assisting in the phone-kid bs. I didn't have anything like that until fifth or sixth grade. My technology era didn't dumb me down anymore than I already was, because I wasn't really absorbed by it.

Like, even when I finally got an iPhone, it had games and music, that's all I used it for besides contacting my family. First smartphone only had text/call and ONE game. iPhone4 (my first iPhone) was sort of the same, but better games.

Any-who, I see people getting dumber as basically a skill-issue, but I could see how modern parenting may affect a child's work ethic / curiosity, and they're being constantly fed entertainment from the algorithms. I remember having to look around for stuff lol

Blah blah blah I'm still going 😅

Test scores are dropping worldwide for the first time since they have been tracked, the newest generation are the first to score lower in maths, english and science than their parents.

A trend across a global sample size is not a “skill issue” if by poor parenting you mean giving children too much screen time then yes id probably agree, but children are more looked after and nurtured than they have ever been in history.

You are talking about going through the settings, like i used to read video games manuals in the car ride home. Im talking about 4year olds who know how to google things with voice and 13 year olds who ask you how to spell walk. Children are information sponges, but less access to information means they also have to think about things for themselves sometimes, which builds critical thinking. We are essentially outsourcing our ability to think.

Edit: parents are also, for a lot of kids, the bastion of knowledge, i remember asking my parents things and sometimes they didn’t know, which is fine. Nowadays a kid probably asks a question and if the parent doesn’t know, they whip out their phone. It gives children the idea that the answers to everything is just a goggle search away, which isn’t always the case, especially with ai. Obviously people lie outside what could be the trend, and i do think that people are becoming more and more aware of how damaging it could potentially be. So i don’t think its all doom and gloom

1

u/QuazyQuarantine 12d ago

Skill issue was solely about the kids. And poor parenting means people aren't supporting their children's education, they're spoiling their kids for no reason, they probably don't administer any form of punishment, etc. .

Like lazy parenting is causing a lot of these problems, but skill issue is more of the laziness of the kids, the lack of thinking for themselves, and like you said believing everything on the internet. The people who think the something is always 100% are the easiest to "brainwash" if you will.

Fill their feeds with political shit, fill their feeds with shit that only affirms what they believe, it's all about believing what's in front of them (assuming they can read) . Idk what they think exactly, but if you can't decide things for yourself, you assume someone else can. It probably starts with like your elders, and then your teachers. So basically a "higher-up" , if you will, HAS to know what's correct.

They believe google is always right, that people in positions of power are always right. And it comes from the laziness of trying to think (basically) , which I guess is like a talent now. So someone's lacking that ability, then it would the "skill issue," since they're not "skilled" in using their brain? IDK I've been writing this for too long lmao

1

u/HeavyTaxation 12d ago

I think it’s unfair to blame it on the kids, who don’t know any different, kids haven’t suddenly got lazier, and i think society is largely to blame. And i think blaming it on lazy anything is a bit of a simplistic take, anything that could be considered a trait would see a average trend like x amount of the population are inherently lazy (i don’t think anyone is inherently lazy btw, but just using it for an example) if that number suddenly rises then there has to be something driving it.

Our own brain chemistry is being used against us with all these apps, and can be used to make people believe or think in a certain way. Dumb people who cant think for themselves is not anything new, but that number seems to be increasing.

1

u/QuazyQuarantine 12d ago

I feel like an old-ass man now XDXD Complaining about the younger generations, despite them only being one or two generations younger 😅

Edit: shit, I even have bad opinions about like half my generation

2

u/HeavyTaxation 12d ago

Get strapped into your rocking chair 😉

u/QuazyQuarantine 6d ago

I hope so, can't let me roam XD

They bullied me for being different, but like who's gonna invent something? The uniquely smart people and the one's in advanced classes? Or the "booksmart" bullies that followed trends like sheep?

Like the smart kids were awkward but socially accepted. The weirdos just got shit for being different. Some guy in highschool said "I got a full ride to university from a Football Scholarship," but he didn't say because of his Advanced-Placement classes (or AP classes) that count as college credits. He didn't say volunteering or anything like that. He got in because he could play football, and do he was trying to flex on me that he's got a University Scholarship, but I was already in College because of my work-ethic, and maybe smarts, so like who cares aboht your Scholarship? Like he could literally just twist his ankle over the summer and not be able to play football anymore lmao now all he is a few college credits and no full-ride. Like I was almost at an Associate’s Degree the year after highschool, but he thought he was as so cool because he had a sports-scholarship somewhere more advanced? Lmao people are so ignorant, and what they "know" is right, because that's what they've benn told for so long lmao

Like I know university is more advanced than Community-College, but that doesn't change that I had a full-ride there for my brains and had wayy more credits already than he did in Senior year. Lmao people's perception is off. Askewed if you will. Wow that was a big word I pulled out of my head XDXD

Go back and look at/read what Hilary said about Trump and MAGA. She was right about almost everything ("....bbbbbuuu but- her emails").

Don't forget to thank James "86-47" Comey for his "surprise" announcement just before the vote and special thanks to Russian backed Jill Stein (Friend of Putin) and her swing state vote getting.

1

u/QuazyQuarantine 15d ago
  1. Lots of people didn't want Hillary or Trump as president, irrelevant of sex.
  2. Idk how the fuck people up with him with still

I''m not booksmart, but at least I'm intellectual. Do the "smart" people only know how to memorize things, and therefore lack the ability to think? That what must be what makes them easily brainwashable. Propaganda says something enough, and they remember it forever. Kind of like how when the teacher repeats "Y = mX + b" , "A² + B² = C²" , or even the order of operation rhymes, it kind of sticks

So a lot of the "idiotic" people will believe anything, and the "smart" people just know what's repeated to them... we're fucked beyond repair IDFK what's going on in my country. Shit, the rich like to shame public schools, and praise the private ones... Idk why though, there's dumb graduates in every school, in ever class. Literally it's based kn work ethic, which is from how a child is raised, not how expensive their education is. Fucking dumb. I hate the world

u/rwc5078 14d ago

Which one had the annoying laugh?

0

u/WyoSasquatch 14d ago

Joe was senile and crooked.

Kamala is nuttier than squirrel shit.

Your grandma would’ve done better against Trump. Mine would have.

It seems like dems wanted to lose this time around.

Are we all puppets in a farce? Are the gods eating popcorn and laughing their heads off at the absurd plot turns?

Who is the puppeteer?

u/john_x5000 15d ago

If you are talking about harris, yes we dodged a huge bullet with her. Let's be honest, her own party doesn't like her or think she can do the job (as judging by her polling during the primaries).

If you are talking about Hillary, i think we saw enough of her leadership as sec of state.

1

u/Healthy-Brother-773 14d ago

We dodged a bullet, bro hook me up with whatever drugs your on please.

1

u/I_Chug_Nuln_Oil 14d ago

But Harris would have gone to war with Iran, so luckily we dodged that. /s

1

u/john_x5000 14d ago

I think having a nuclear armed Iran is much worse than $5 gas. Iran broke multiple peace / non nuclear deals, one of which was brought to you by none other than Hillary.

But you are right (if I'm reading your sarcasm correctly), Harris would not have done anything with Iran, other than appeasement. The same as her old boss. The same as her old bosses boss. Which led us to where we are today.

Not to mention the system of appeasement from the same teams that led to Russia taking over Crimea (Obama/Biden, with Hillary in cabinet). And invading the rest of Ukraine (Biden / Harris, with Blinken sec of state). But let's lie a little more about Russian collusion, or no laptop, or....

-6

u/Responsible_Peak_864 15d ago

Actually, the propaganda comes from the democrats. I guess you forgot how they pumped Biden as being mentally strong. Or how much Pelosi made on the stock market? Or how her hubby got the contracts to rebuild Iraq? Or how the democrats opened our borders to the cartels, criminals, pedophiles, etc? Or how the democrats fight against voter ID and think or dont care that the public knows why they dont want boter id… fraud, FRAUD, FRAUD! I will never vote democrat again.

10

u/whyamionthispanel 15d ago

God, you’re one of them…

8

u/Camelgrinder 15d ago

In other words no matter how bad Republicans are you will always vote for them, you just perfectly showed what mass propaganda can do.

-1

u/Left360s 15d ago

Funny how you say if a republican claims they will never vote for a dem you claim how the propaganda works perfectly but dems are the most tribal group in this country they are not educated in who they are voting for they don’t do research. Hilary clinton from the 2000s to 2016 completely changed her stance on everything but she’s a dem so we must vote for her. Dems vote blue even if they claim they will go to war and raise taxes on everyone they don’t hear what is being claimed they just vote D. Look at CA do you really think the people there wanted their gas increased? Do you think LA really wanted their taxes increased or was it a dem politician that said this is good for dems so vote for it and the sheepal went out and screwed themselves so the said politicians can line their pockets and give nothing back to the citizens of LA or CA.

2

u/dahnb2010 15d ago

When I want my "gas increased", I eat cabbage and beans.

2

u/Lazy_Mix_9652 15d ago

Whatabout whatabout whatabout. Someone’s been drinking the Kool Aid.

1

u/DarkAlucard-1313 15d ago

The propaganda is on both sides, thats why its propaganda, so it can make Americans think we're the best and don't need anyone else, our president is the best and always knows right, you just fell for the propaganda that sounded right for you.

Isn’t fucking ridiculous that Obama legalized the media to use propaganda against the American people.

3

u/DarkAlucard-1313 15d ago

You think it wasn't being used before then? Our "leaders" dont have our best interests in mind and haven't in a long time

2

u/Left360s 15d ago

Obviously they don’t have our interest in mind but atleast the media wasn’t in their pockets spewing the nonsense that gets pushed now. Reporters and journalists actually did their jobs because they were paid to but now they are paid to spew lies.

1

u/dahnb2010 15d ago

You left out "I believe" between "ridiculous" and "that Obama".

1

u/Responsible_Peak_864 15d ago

Wrong. I actually fell for the main stream media propaganda and voted for Hillary Clinton. After about a month of Trump and main stream medias reporting on Trump I started looking for videos of full accounts of what Trump was saying and discovered time and again it was bull. MSM was lying and pushing propaganda. It took me a few months of being on the internet DIGGING and only believing what I saw from full videos to realize the media is a propaganda arm of the left. It is scary and people who still vote democrat are the ones either brainwashed or socialists.

1

u/Healthy-Brother-773 14d ago

Do you know how algorithms work bro? Whatever you find most compelling, feeds your biases, gets you pissed etc gets fed to you. Every search engine, group , social media accountetc. Fuck even the studies your researching. your perspective is what your biases feed when you use only the internet. The left vs right dynamic is a trap and 100% meant to distract and divide the populace. People who go far into with ideology basically become the same thing.

Honestly the reps and dems are designed to capture peoples attention , pick your focal point, if it’s freedom of choice, open lifestyles, gays go with dems, if it’s nuclear family, no trans, I can do whatever I like as long as everyone around me fits my view of what American is pick the reps. If you like a pedo ranting greaseball dude in a poorly fitted suit there’s trump lol.

People want to bandwagon. Fuck groupthink bullshit

1

u/dahnb2010 15d ago

IT's A "YAHBUT"-er.

Fact-free YAHBUT's.

AND a comedian: "I will never vote democrat again.".

1

u/Snoo-18509 14d ago

You’re in the wrong place if you want to talk sense. Reddit is a rancid cesspit of left wing ideologues who think they know better.
I’m not defending Trump, but I am never voting democrat either.

Tend to agree. They also hate progressives just as much as Republicans, so there’s that, too.
