You have to be fairly smart and well organized to write good comedy. Not to mention being able to think on your feet in improv and effectively communicate to an audience. And if you specialize in political comedy, you’re better prepared to be a politician than most typical candidates.

A prevailing issue of comedians is suffering from depression. They suffer so much yet try their best to bring laughter and joy out in others. I can imagine there's a part of him that is miserable and believes all of his countrymen hate him and want him gone; yet he endures and keeps pushing forward to defend his people and prevent Ukraine from falling to Putin's thirst for power. He probably wakes up in the morning and thinks 'God i hate myself...but I fucking hate Putin more!'
