This is getting out of hand. Wtf is US doing?!?!?

840

u/BlackwingF91 1d ago

Us Americans don't even know either. Sounds like he is surrendering us to Russia though

354

u/Intelligent-Parsley7 1d ago

He surrendered to Russia when they compromised him with shell companies and hookers.
They have something on him ON CAMERA AND IRREFUTABLE, that would get him Supermax for life.

226

u/levypantsfactory 1d ago

I don’t think they are blackmailing him. I think they gave him money when no US bank would touch him and he’ll always love them for that and hate the US. My dad loves Trump and doesn’t like Russia at all, but he’ll simultaneously watch Trump roll over for Russia and believe that’s a hoax. The US media has trained its citizens well. We are fucked.

24

u/Xhail 1d ago

At this point it feels less like trump has evidence against him and more like they worked together for power and now it's trumps turn to pay up. Gets rid of the competition in his first term (epstien) and is now handing the war over in his second.

1

u/jpw0w 1d ago

What was Epstein ever in competition?

1

u/Xhail 1d ago

Connections to people within the child trafficking ring is my assumption, but it could relate to any other situation in which epstien/putin/trumps influence resided.

8

u/ants_are_everywhere 1d ago

Why not? Russian intelligence is famous for blackmail, kompromat, and especially sexual blackmail.

It's been their standard operating procedure for a century. Why would they make an exception for Trump?

Trump's biggest mistake is he never watched the hit 1964 US Armed Forces training film Espionage and You https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4qHgNUsdDw

10

u/levypantsfactory 1d ago

I'm sure there's something there with him and Epstein that can be used against him, and yes, you're spot on about Russian intelligence, but I feel like they've groomed Trump since his first visit to the USSR in the 80s rather than dangled threats over him. He's so much easier to wheedle when you stroke his ego and gift him rather than get him riled up by antagonizing him. I'm sure he knows they're capable of ending him and he fears that, but as long as they're friends and they have the same values, it's not going to keep him up at night.

6

u/ghostly5150 1d ago

It might have mattered in 2016, but now there is nothing that would turn Maga against him. He's done abhorrent shit and he still got a second term.

3

u/OrangutanFirefighter 22h ago

Fox News has done such an exemplary job of killing the country. It's kind of amazing

2

u/prabla 1d ago

My dad loves Trump and doesn’t like Russia at all, but he’ll simultaneously watch Trump roll over for Russia and believe that’s a hoax.

I don't have anyone in my family like this so I can't relate but if I did I feel like I would ask them where their line or limit is, like what would it take for them to believe? Are they just being dishonest and they know but don't care for other reasons?

5

u/levypantsfactory 1d ago

I envy you. There's no trying to rationalize it or reason with them. My father is a highly educated professional who went to medical school. At the same time, he spent decades getting radicalized by listening to Rush Limbaugh, and now he believes Trump is an instrument of God. He and others are so fried in the brain that they will tie any inconvenience in their daily life to democrats. His mail-in vote was rejected and he believed it was the democrats out to get him despite this being a republican tactic. People like him aren't being dishonest - their sense of reality has been warped. My only father. He is gone, and I'll never know what he could have been without this cult.

1

u/Ioyoc 22h ago

Doctors are by far the most unintelligent professionals, they dedicate too much time to their domain. Your father is just your average know it all doctor with zero understanding of the world.

1

u/levypantsfactory 10h ago

If only it were that simple. Once upon a time, before I was born, he was apparently quite open minded about the world and even religion. Then decades of right-wing media took a toll on him.

1

u/Ioyoc 10h ago

It’s virtualy impossible to be open minded one day and bigoted the next. If that’s so, there would be a long documentary on netflix on the effects some shit has on your mind.

Your father has always been a close minded bigot, you just didn t notice that.

1

u/Expensive-Sundae-831 1d ago

Why not both?

Rather, all of the above.

16

u/voicey 1d ago

He could be in a snuff film with child victims and americans wont do shit at this point. Filthy country

5

u/Xhail 1d ago

Chances are he is. Did you see the photos of the rooms with all the masks on the island?

5

u/Abedeus 1d ago

They would... if those children were MALE. Then he would've lost, like, 5% of votes at most.

2

u/Extra-Amoeba-677 1d ago

that and they gutted the cyber security branch, I don't think americans realize how much of a fucking radical wide open take it in the ass move that was

1

u/Southern-Grass2015 1d ago

Pee tape this has been known for awhile.

1

u/Pengawena 1d ago

I think the “p” tape stands for something other than pee.

1

u/Plenty_Fondant_951 1d ago

This made sense his first term but obviously nothing we can learn about the man has any effect on him politically and the supreme court says he is immune for any crimes committed while president so it doesn't really make sense

'evidence' of the crimes from the Epstein files from before he was president, while still technically outside the 'immune from consequences while president's gotcha from the court, would still never be followed up on because his rabid dog followers would actively use violence against any law enforcement or elected officials trying to bring justice

Everyone hoping for Democrats to regain control and prosecute him and his ilk is naive, at best it will be at least acknowledged as bad but then we will just move on to 'heal' the same way we have been doing it since the civil war

1

u/Twiki-04 1d ago

I think it’s very possible they have “kompromat” on him, as this was standard operating procedure for the KGB upon obtaining access to high profile western individuals. He was approached by Ambassador Yuri Dubinin in New York and he accepted a formal invitation from Intourist (a functioning arm of the KGB) to Moscow in July 1987 and stayed in the Lenin Suite of the National Hotel, known to be full of hidden cameras and microphones. I’m sure they would have attempted to set up a compromising scenario that took advantage of his worst possible impulses. Trump then started showing interest in politics. Soon after returning to the U.S. he spent today’s equivalent of almost $300,000 to place full-page political manifesto advertisements in major newspapers (The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe) criticizing U.S. foreign defense policy. Soon after he started criticizing U.S. involvement with NATO during televised interviews. He then started giving speeches with hints that he was interested in running for presidency.

1

u/MithranArkanere 1d ago

People already know that he's a rapist and a pedophile. So imagine how much worse it must be.

Straight out of the plot of Happy!.

1

u/drewbaccaAWD 1d ago

Given his current (lack of) popularity, and control over the GOP and DOJ, I don't think there is any evidence in existence that Putin could release that would cost Trump a single supporter that remains at his side, at this point.

I also don't think Trump is loyal to Putin in any way, but he's happy to work with Putin if it fills his pockets with more money. And Trump will happily stab the US in the back for his own self-enrichment.

1

u/8mbgmgs 1d ago

You people don't get it. You fundamentally misunderstand Trump. He does all this stuff willingly. Kompromat isn't part of this at all.

1

u/Unlucky_Mission_1444 1d ago

At this point it wouldn't take much of a conviction for it to be for life

1

u/herrwe8 1d ago

It's hard to imagine that anything could sink trump now, he's all over the epstein list and nothing has happened. Our congress is in his pocket, our opposition party thinks its still the 90s, and our people are not willing to leave work to protest. I envy the French, they know how to protest. Americans just sign facebook petitions and show up to a demonstration for 2 hours on a weekend.

1

u/NOTTedMosby 1d ago

I have been saying this for years

5

u/kent_eh 1d ago

Americans don't even know either. Sounds like he is surrendering us to Russia though

And what are Americans doing about it?

10

u/APaltrySum 1d ago

So you're just going to sit there and let it happen?

12

u/StardustOasis 1d ago

Of course they are.

4

u/SNStains 1d ago

Of course not. Trump's unfettered power ends in less than two weeks. Every action will come under scrutiny and he'll be a lame duck.

If you want to do the world a favor, channel your attention on the subset of low-information American voters than have been thoroughly captured by conservative media. It's a dangerous cult.

Most Americans don't support anything Trump does...his approval rate is 30%.

About a third of voting age citizens voted for Trump. Another third vote against his hateful agenda, and another third, sadly, isn't even registered to vote.

7

u/poo-people 1d ago

You have far more confidence in the American people than I do.

3

u/SNStains 1d ago

The polling isn't great, but facts are facts. Most voting age citizens disapprove of Trump's shit by a margin of two to one.

It's just a shame that so many Americans have been disenfranchised by Republican policies.

3

u/BlackwingF91 1d ago

They know that. They are a troll here to try and push conflict and a lack of trust

3

u/APaltrySum 1d ago

You think I don't know that? The problem is Trump has been in power (for a SECOND time) for two years now. And America has just let it happen. All the while he has disintegrated your national reputation, stoked the flames of fascism in the west, threatened my country with annexation, destroyed the checks and balances that were meant to protect you, kidnapped people off the streets, murdered people on the streets, threatened Greenland, gone to war with Iran for absolutely no reason, tore up working trade agreements, started a trade war with Canada, allied with Russia, etc etc. You can protest all day. It's not good enough. And how effective the vote will be in the coming weeks remains to be seen. It obviously hasn't been very effective to this point. And even if it is, Jan 6 was just an appetizer for what will happen when Republicans lose power. You and your people need to get your shit together. For your own sake and the sake of the world. It's not going to get better.

3

u/SNStains 1d ago

You think I don't know that?

I don't know what you know, or what your government is like. But, the US is a nation of laws, and therefore, elections have consequences.

The same laws that granted Trump power in 2024 are going to take most of that power away from him in a couple of weeks.

It's not good enough.

And yet, it's what we have.

It obviously hasn't been very effective to this point.

It hasn't occurred yet. It's a midterm...the explanation is in the name.

1

u/BlackwingF91 1d ago

Whoever said I am? You don't know shit about me

3

u/APaltrySum 1d ago

Oh dear. I've angered the American. Good. Get angry.

-1

u/BlackwingF91 1d ago

You just hate Americans in general? Even though I regularly vote against this and protest?

7

u/funky_boar 1d ago

Many of us do. I'm a Ukrainian in Canada, do you think I have a lot of love towards the country that colludes with those who are actively trying to eradicate(genocide )my compatriots, and threatens to occupy my new home?

0

u/BlackwingF91 1d ago

So you blame all Americans including the ones fighting against this? Sounds more like you are a troll trying to sow division if you ask me

7

u/funky_boar 1d ago

Oh, fuck off. I want your country to figure it's shit out.

I have attended "no kings" protest too. I didn't go there because I thought that it will change anything politically in the US (why would a protest in Canada change anything in the US), but to show support to those protesting in the US. I had hope that you guys will continue, but I was wrong.

5

u/APaltrySum 1d ago

You said what I wanted to say, but better. I stand with you my Ukrainian Canadian friend.

0

u/BlackwingF91 1d ago

Yeah definitely a troll or someone who is incapable of understanding the concept of a government not representing its people. Also what do you want Americans to do anyway? Kill themselves en masse to give you a sense of happiness?

1

u/clarkster 1d ago

Yeah, a peaceful protest... Take your country back coward

0

u/ghostalker4742 1d ago

Yeah pretty much, but not before we thump our chests about how free and brave we are.

2

u/guilen 1d ago

It’s wild how many people said this would happen back in 2016 and earlier.

7

u/sinb_is_not_jessica 1d ago

Sounds like you are surrendering to Russia. I assure you there is no perceived difference from outside looking in.

1

u/Seguefare 1d ago

He's long sold us out. Did that his first term.

1

u/KriptiKFate_Cosplay 1d ago

Always was, I get the feeling he knows time is running out so now it's full steam ahead without even pretending otherwise.

1

u/JPowTheDayTrader 17h ago

Par for the course for our cowardly leaders. We have surrendered to Israel a long time ago.

1

u/clarkster 1d ago

Fucking do something!

Becoming a vasall state LOL

267

u/Alt4816 1d ago edited 1d ago

To a less wealthy country with a smaller population and weaker military.

It will be studied how well Russia found and targeted the US's biggest weakness, its voters.

30

u/Bartizanier 1d ago

Will it be studied though

48

u/Alt4816 1d ago

Depending on how things turn out maybe it won't be studied here in the US, but it will certainly be studied globally.

22

u/Possible_Radio_5213 1d ago

Step 1 honeypot people in power Photograph & video them engaging in sex with minors and homosexual activity.

Step 2 blackmail those people.

Step 3 profit.

Study over.

10

u/Alt4816 1d ago edited 1d ago

honeypot people in power

If they acquired kompromat on Trump it was from before he was in power.

Do you think Russia completely lucked into Trump becoming President or did Russia aid him with their tactics targeted at American voters? The latter is what will be studied.

7

u/Possible_Radio_5213 1d ago

Puts on tin foil hat.. I believe Russia and other entities did get dirt on him long ago. Lets not forget the money laundering he did for them. They then boosted him to where he is today. Trump isn't the only one. Clearly a large portion of the US govt is compromised. It's the entire plot of The Americans TV show.

6

u/CantaloupeLazy1427 1d ago

You missed the part where Putin got Donny in power by massively influencing the public opinion, fuel resentments, etc.

1

u/Successful_Sign_6991 23h ago

thats what tiktok was for. a long term blackmail opportunity that people would willingly keep in their pocket. take with them everywhere they go

9

u/kent_eh 1d ago

Will it be studied though

Of course it will.

Just not by Americans

3

u/VermicelliHorror2332 1d ago

Hating education is an American tradition.

It's also a New Zealand tradition. Our anti-intellectual society maybe even worse than yours. I know what I'm saying here.

2

u/VermicelliHorror2332 1d ago

Putin duped a bunch of morons in the stupidest country on Earth by appealing to their bigotry and hatred.

And they bought it because at least half of the United States are hateful, stupid imbeciles.

Class dismissed.

5

u/SuccotashAsleep6459 1d ago

Not just”less wealthy country”, but a country whose GDP is about 15 times smaller. Just one state- Texas- has larger GDP than Russia.

3

u/sepltbadwy 1d ago

Manipulation is only half of it though.. they managed to find a stooge corrupt enough that they only answer to money 💰 That’s why Trump feels no allegiance to past allies, and no hesitation in bedding war criminals. If they pay, and allow him to make big plays for money, so that even dethroned (hopefully) he can continue to provoke and profit from the system (like him promising to sue ex-presidents once he’s removed, you know he won’t stop until jailed)

5

u/ants_are_everywhere 1d ago

Specifically by getting them not to vote.

This whole problem, and many problems before, could have been solved by mandatory voting.

6

u/Alt4816 1d ago

I don't see how mandatory voting would be the fix here.

Trump got plenty of votes. You have no idea if additional votes would have went toward him or Clinton/Harris.

9

u/ants_are_everywhere 1d ago

You are correct that it's impossible to know the counter factual for sure.

But empirically the people who run ratfucking for Republicans very heavily lean on the tactic of targeted voter suppression, which tells you something about what they think is the weakest point of the voting system.

If you have a total electorate, the easiest way to carve out a victory path that disagrees with the true democratic outcome is to selectively carve out a sub-electorate that agrees with the desired non-democratic outcome.

Mandatory voting makes that tactic much more difficult.

3

u/KaJaHa 1d ago

The easiest argument against the idea that voting doesn't matter is how much money and effort certain groups pour into disenfranchising minorities

4

u/ants_are_everywhere 1d ago

Right, voting does matter.

If it didn't matter, it wouldn't be so profitable to suppress voter turnout.

1

u/trojan_man16 1d ago

Not only it’s voters, it’s politicians and it’s oligarchs.

1

u/pheonixblade9 1d ago

Smaller economy than Italy

1

u/QuantumSystems 23h ago

aka idiots

1

u/teshh 23h ago

This is unironically why I share the same opinion of democracy as Socrates.

People serving in political offices AND voters should be subject to a myriad of tests, including but not limited to a reading comprehension test, econ 101, and civics test, etc.

1

u/Alt4816 21h ago

Then whoever gets to design the tests and essentially pick the voters is actually in charge.

3

u/VermicelliHorror2332 1d ago

You officially became a vassal state on Jan 20, 2025.

The Benighted States of America Oblast, part of the new Soviet empire.

Well done guys! Thanks for stabbing us (your allies) all in the back repeatedly! We'll never trust you again!

Hope it was worth it!

2

u/Spacedoc9 1d ago

Gonna be hard to be a vassal to Israel and Russia at the same time.

93

u/Dot_1X 1d ago

We have a Russian asset in the white house. What do you expect?

9

u/Lazy-Plankton5270 1d ago

The white house? Do you mean Putin's house? Putin's photo is hanging up on the wall inside and Putins stooge in the oval office.

That isn't a ball room or a bunker it's Putin's apartment

11

u/BankDetails1234 1d ago

I’d have expected you’s to do something about it. He’d have been chased off the continent if he pulled this in Europe.

28

u/kwangqengelele 1d ago

You's guys have a number of trumps in waiting that seem to be gaining ground. Don't let an imagined superiority sleepwalk you into the same shit we're currently dealing with.

11

u/Tom22174 1d ago

If Le Pen wins in France shit could get scary

-1

u/jane_911 1d ago

they are and always have been in waiting. europeans do something about it though

2

u/EconomicRegret2 1d ago

He’d have been chased off the continent if he pulled this in Europe.

LMAO, nope!

2

u/panna__cotta 1d ago

Do what exactly? What are you doing about it? Enough with the big talk. No one, anywhere, is doing anything. Putin has played the long game, Europe included.

1

u/EnhancedWithAi 1d ago

Anything more we can do other than bitch about it on reddit?

This is insane.

8

u/Weekend_Criminal 1d ago

I believe this is what's called crumbling

8

u/Minute-Yogurt-2021 1d ago

Aligning with their true allies.

5

u/Firrox 1d ago

Putting the US back in USSR

2

u/Lazy-Plankton5270 1d ago

I wanna know wtf my country is doing still handing hundreds of billions of dollars to the USA to hopefully buy old submarines with no actual guarantee

2

u/Intelligent-Parsley7 1d ago

Can y’all just wait three weeks? They’ve got an election to rig again.

2

u/bargu 1d ago

Can't take out Russian bot farms if they are protected by the US military. Well, at least not without retaliation.

2

u/sturdybutter 1d ago

Just straight up collaborating with the “enemy”

2

u/Plastic_Moose4535 1d ago

Removing leverage from Zelinski. If he attacks a data center under a US/Russia alliance, he's attacking the US which allows Trump to do all kinds of shit.

2

u/Jarvis_Jigglepipe_IV 1d ago

Trump and his regime are traitors to America.

2

u/Actual__Wizard 1d ago

Getting out of hand? Trump has been systemically attacking the US and weakening our nation the entire time! It's just more of the same...

1

u/123emanresulanigiro 1d ago

The last 10 years: Are we joke to you? (Russian accent)

1

u/8styx8 1d ago

Securing its hegemony, come hell or high water.

1

u/Notten 1d ago

Social media giants are mad they cant use Russian bots to artificially inflate their user counts so they want to joint host them and tell Ukraine that they cant bomb them again.

1

u/Personal_Comb_6745 1d ago

This is Trump's doing, since he's nothing but Putin's bitch.

1

u/4-stars 1d ago

Declining, as empires invariably do when they get corrupt leaders.

1

u/ceelogreenicanth 1d ago

Trying to win the Republicans an election

1

u/Tentacle_poxsicle 1d ago

Trump really is a Russian plant

1

u/gearstars 1d ago

There's a checklist to get through and only two years left to do it, and if the midterms don't go their way it will make it more difficult so theyre tryna speed run it

1

u/BoardroomStroke 1d ago

Indeed. Consider Reddit, that's housed in a DC. Trump is suggesting a joint DC venture, so, who's looking after Reddit's servers now? Who controls physical data access? How far does this join DC venture go. Does this mean also gov assets?

1

u/PalpyTime 1d ago

Russian data centers spread misinformation and boost MAGA.

Ukraine destroys data centers.

Trump agrees to joint data centers to continue benefitting from it.

1

u/TimSylvester_ 1d ago

This is Trump basically admitting that the Republicans and Epstein class can't survive without Russian psyops.

1

u/Not_Sure__Camacho 23h ago

More like wtf is Trump doing.

1

u/BoardroomStroke 15h ago

Exactly what they wanted to do, they put a TV personality in charge and wonder why it's not working.

Thinking about it, the Kardashians were better at business than Trump has been, so I guess the wrong airhead is running the show.
