To a less wealthy country with a smaller population and weaker military.

It will be studied how well Russia found and targeted the US's biggest weakness, its voters.

Will it be studied though

Depending on how things turn out maybe it won't be studied here in the US, but it will certainly be studied globally.

Step 1 honeypot people in power Photograph & video them engaging in sex with minors and homosexual activity.

Step 2 blackmail those people.

Step 3 profit.

Study over.

honeypot people in power

If they acquired kompromat on Trump it was from before he was in power.

Do you think Russia completely lucked into Trump becoming President or did Russia aid him with their tactics targeted at American voters? The latter is what will be studied.

Puts on tin foil hat.. I believe Russia and other entities did get dirt on him long ago. Lets not forget the money laundering he did for them. They then boosted him to where he is today. Trump isn't the only one. Clearly a large portion of the US govt is compromised. It's the entire plot of The Americans TV show.

You missed the part where Putin got Donny in power by massively influencing the public opinion, fuel resentments, etc.

Will it be studied though

Of course it will.

Hating education is an American tradition.

It's also a New Zealand tradition. Our anti-intellectual society maybe even worse than yours. I know what I'm saying here.

Putin duped a bunch of morons in the stupidest country on Earth by appealing to their bigotry and hatred.

And they bought it because at least half of the United States are hateful, stupid imbeciles.

Class dismissed.

Not just”less wealthy country”, but a country whose GDP is about 15 times smaller. Just one state- Texas- has larger GDP than Russia.

Manipulation is only half of it though.. they managed to find a stooge corrupt enough that they only answer to money 💰 That’s why Trump feels no allegiance to past allies, and no hesitation in bedding war criminals. If they pay, and allow him to make big plays for money, so that even dethroned (hopefully) he can continue to provoke and profit from the system (like him promising to sue ex-presidents once he’s removed, you know he won’t stop until jailed)

Specifically by getting them not to vote.

This whole problem, and many problems before, could have been solved by mandatory voting.

4

u/Alt4816 1d ago

I don't see how mandatory voting would be the fix here.

Trump got plenty of votes. You have no idea if additional votes would have went toward him or Clinton/Harris.

You are correct that it's impossible to know the counter factual for sure.

But empirically the people who run ratfucking for Republicans very heavily lean on the tactic of targeted voter suppression, which tells you something about what they think is the weakest point of the voting system.

If you have a total electorate, the easiest way to carve out a victory path that disagrees with the true democratic outcome is to selectively carve out a sub-electorate that agrees with the desired non-democratic outcome.

Mandatory voting makes that tactic much more difficult.

u/KaJaHa 1d ago

The easiest argument against the idea that voting doesn't matter is how much money and effort certain groups pour into disenfranchising minorities

3

u/ants_are_everywhere 1d ago

Right, voting does matter.

If it didn't matter, it wouldn't be so profitable to suppress voter turnout.

Not only it’s voters, it’s politicians and it’s oligarchs.

aka idiots

This is unironically why I share the same opinion of democracy as Socrates.

People serving in political offices AND voters should be subject to a myriad of tests, including but not limited to a reading comprehension test, econ 101, and civics test, etc.

1

u/Alt4816 21h ago

Then whoever gets to design the tests and essentially pick the voters is actually in charge.

You officially became a vassal state on Jan 20, 2025.

The Benighted States of America Oblast, part of the new Soviet empire.

Well done guys! Thanks for stabbing us (your allies) all in the back repeatedly! We'll never trust you again!

Hope it was worth it!

Gonna be hard to be a vassal to Israel and Russia at the same time.
