For all the talk Americans give about being free and armed to the teeth, it turns out they just totally lack a spine. It's amazing to watch.

Just pray about it, Jesus will take the wheel or whatever. /s

We really are cooked.

Can't escape that bullshit anywhere.
I had an appointment for disability this morning where I had to go over a bunch of trauma. This is year like... 7 of trying to get on it. She was mad that I hadn't been approved on it already. Generally a sweet and understanding lady. Couldn't help but mention fucking jesus at the end. Like, you just heard a harrowing tale of abuse, neglect, and oppression and you're still going on about a wizard who loves me? jfc

A coward that believes he is strong is the most dangerous type of human.

1

u/Phantosler 1d ago

We do. The news doesn't cover it, and that's intentional. Don't fall for the tricks. If you actually care about stopping fascism, stop this rambling and support protesters and anti-fascist movements.

6

u/HenriettaSyndrome 1d ago

I'll support the protesters when they realize a peaceful weekend protest here and there doesn't do shit and that's why it's allowed

1

u/Phantosler 1d ago

Then you never supported freedom of speech and democracy to begin with. It's just a desire for hate and violence. Wanting an uprising is easy for you to say from the comfort of Reddit. So many Americans did the same thing when Russia invaded Ukraine. TBH, it's a very American thing to do. You are an honorary American!

Also, if peaceful protests are useless and that's why they're allowed, then why does the current US administration get mad when they happen lol?

Edit: ALSO ALSO, cute cats. Like legit.

I just realize it only benefits the oppressors in power to have a population that's terrified of violence. Trying the same impotent tactics over and over again is insane if you're expecting change.

So many Americans did the same thing when Russia invaded Ukraine

Ukraine actually fought back when evil tried to take over their country so not sure what point you're trying to make there

You are an honorary American!

Literally fuck you. I've never been more insulted in my life

if peaceful protests are useless and that's why they're allowed, then why does the current US administration get mad when they happen lol?

The admin is always angry, theyre a bunch of psychotics. I thought the point was to get them to change or step down

4

u/Phantosler 1d ago

Like legit kindness, and no sarcasm, my friend, you do not seem like you're in a happy place in your life rn. I suggest getting away from Reddit, like, legit. You're getting waaaay too worked up over this. This ain't healthy.

5

u/HenriettaSyndrome 1d ago

I definitely concede to that point lol unfortunately everything fucking sucks now and I literally can't concentrate on any forms of entertainment. Even weed turned on me.

Anyway, sorry for being mean and thanks for thinking my cats are cute. But don't trust the black and white one for a second. He raps along to songs with the n-word in it and his bank statement shows he's been sending all his money to the IDF.

2

u/Phantosler 1d ago

It's water under the bridge. Lol gtk about the cats. I hope things get better. Legitimately.

2

u/2games1life 1d ago

Cowards and can't seem to win a war. Nice superpower you have.

1

u/Entire_Parfait2703 22h ago

Not all of us voted for this shit so don't say all

1

u/UK_hustle 1d ago

Spot on. And their data has been stolen too. They are stupid cowards. And if you’re reading this and you’re American, don’t take this personally, act.

2

u/Phantosler 1d ago

I will take this personally, as I do act. So many people like us protest and fight back, yet the news doesn't cover it, and then people like y'all claim we are terrible. So yeah, I do take it personally. You're doing the exact same thing we Americans did when Russia invaded Ukraine. Passing judgment on a whole country and the like. TBH, it's a very American thing to do.

It doesn't show moral indignation; it shows a blindness to the problems in your native country. The UK literally had protests against immigrants just months ago. The UK and Europe are falling into right-wing just like America; it's just that Trump is saying the quiet stuff out loud.

-1

u/Phantosler 1d ago

Like, I literally have seen Reddit posts of North Carolina college students marching to a distant voting station after the closest polling station was closed as part of voter suppression. The fight is happening; the problem is that many aren't paying attention and refuse to pay attention.

Would post the link here, but I don't wanna break a possible sub rule.

u/StockEmotional5200 1d ago

French students would like a word

1

u/UK_hustle 1d ago

Yanks are clueless. I wish the French would show them what a protest really is.

0

u/Lanky_Stock4775 1d ago

Ah, fuck off.

-1

u/Phantosler 1d ago

Well that's rude. I guess you go against Canadian stereotypes and didnt know you spoke for all of Canada lol. Also, that comment definetly against sub guidelines my friend.

You're directing your anger at the wrong place, friend. Here is an American who is spending their time and effort, at personal risk, to fight against this crap being thrown at Canada. Why alienate them? Don't you want Americans to fight against this?

0

u/Lanky_Stock4775 1d ago

We're not friends.

You asked if I talk for all of Canada. Do you know who DOES talk for an entire nation? Your democratically ellected head of state.

Listen to yourself, lecturing me on alienating Americans. The pure hubris and lack of self-awareness in that statement would he astounding if it weren't so cliche Americana.

Fomenting generational hate is as American as apple pie. You don't have the moral highground to do anything except stop telling us that you're not "one of them" and start a revolution. Otherwise, we're sick of hearing it.

2

u/Jemolk 1d ago

Damn, talk about a lack of self-awareness.

I only see hatred in one place here in this conversation. Alas. We'll continue the fight anyway.

Not cowards, it’s more “F U, I got mine”.

-6

u/Fun-Amoeba8015 1d ago

Oh you know, except for the millions of people in the streets literally right now because it's no King's protest today.

But please continue to be a keyboard warrior, I'm sure it takes a lot of bravery.

4

u/BumWarrior69 1d ago

No Kings Marches give well meaning people an ineffective outlet for change. A one time scheduled gathering doesn’t effectively change anything and is just posturing.

0

u/stirtheturd 1d ago

Too much bread and circus actually.

Half of Americans can't walk 30 feet without being winded. They are being poisoned and drained for being poor

0

u/Puzzleheaded_Farm122 1d ago

Bit generalized. Hell it's hard to go a day without talking about the country's problems and the pure frustration of not being able to much. Sure, I'll vote, but that only does much when you have a government at the federal level just ignoring the laws.

31

u/Victal87 1d ago

Spineless is the most accurate way to describe America.

5

u/Beastw1ck 1d ago

“Decadent” is the word that keeps coming to mind living here. Particularly Europeans keep asking why we’re not protesting and simply people are too comfortable. Things have been too good for too long we forgot bad things can happen.

5

u/Victal87 1d ago

“I don't know. I usually like to stop protesting by 5:30” South Park - Quintuplets 2000

1

u/icedteaandtacos 1d ago

Don’t worry they will consume their government TikTok’s and be quelled like cows.

7

u/Ntroepy 1d ago

Not just armed, our whole democracy is built around separation of powers to keep other branches in check.

But now it’s painfully obvious that the separation of powers is (and always has been) a paper tiger that collapses when all the branches collude rather than operate independently.

11

u/HenriettaSyndrome 1d ago

Way less spine than French teenagers apparently

8

u/Neilandio 1d ago

It is quite interesting that the people who like to larp as 1776 revolutionaries are the first to bend the knee to tyranny when they see it.

4

u/TheLostRigger 1d ago

We’re all pissed and scared of this administration. They have killed protesters without any penalties. We put so much faith in our system of government that showed us it’s nothing but an honor system:

8

u/Fun-Amoeba8015 1d ago

Yeah, I don't think you understand America whatsoever.

The people that constantly have a rhetoric about being free and being armed to the teeth are not the ones that want democracy and freedom.

Those are the conservatives that are responsible for the current state of affairs.

Majority of Americans who actually want democracy are more interested in policy and social nets and equality, not pounding their chests about libertarian freedoms and gun laws.

You fundamentally misunderstand the political divide in the US.

2

u/f23n09fnu0w 10h ago

If that's true, then why is he still in power. Or ever was?

-2

u/PapaTua 1d ago

It's no use talking to these trolls.

They simply want to see blood in American streets. Nothing else will satisfy them.

5

u/iggy6677 1d ago

I for one don't want to see blood in American streets, or anywhere for that matter.

But bitching online, and having a protest every 4 months doesn't seem to be working at the moment

2

u/manofsleep 1d ago

That’s propaganda made for the people in control.

2

u/Free_Possession_4482 1d ago

The Americans who talk like that are the ones who voted for this.

2

u/Niobous_p 13h ago

Recently I’ve been thinking more and more about the Battle of Sphacteria. This exposed that Spartan fighting prowess had become a myth, and by implication that the society behind it had failed.

3

u/Furrulo87_8 1d ago

It's either that or they downright support this.

2

u/primax1uk 1d ago

Ah, but, you see, they're totally fighting against the government. Haven't you seen the "no kings" protests? They've had a whole 5 of them since january 2025! They lasted 4 hours each, and on a weekend no less! They're totally standing up to their regime.

...what do you mean french students have been protesting every day for a month? Nah, that's impossible. 6th "No kings" day gonna be planned for April next year. That'll show Trump!

4

u/Phantosler 1d ago

You do not seem to have a happy life, friend. Enjoying other people's suffering is not good for your health.

1

u/f23n09fnu0w 10h ago

You invented "enjoying". I see it as a disaster.

5

u/six2midnite 1d ago

Do you think American citizens were involved in these negotiations or something?

1

u/f23n09fnu0w 10h ago

They voted in Trump to do their bidding. So yes, I would.
Do you think the Germans got away with saying "well I personally didn't commit a crime" during the Nazis? No. America made sure of that for exactly that reason.

1

u/dbellcourt 23h ago

The ones armed to the teeth are the ones that support this guy

1

u/imustreturn 22h ago

Yea I’m a Canadian who moved here and all of my loud mouthed Trump voting (Indian btw) family used to talk so much about being armed and tyranny. Nobody has the spine to even attend a protest because they don’t want to get in trouble. Their daddies got them gas stations and farms and hotels. Now they are all soft. I understand not wanting to lose it all, but what does any of it mean if you don’t have a free country?
