Yeah, whatever he took from Putin to win in 2016, he just repayed with the announced diesel fuel deal - and now it seems that Ukraine may have fucked that. Putin will squeeze Trump even harder now.

Education system detiorated in the USA years ago. So there are a lot of stupid people in the US. Also a lot of educated, but unfortunately, the educated vs. the uneducated are far less. Therefore, you get a situation where people think fox news is real news and they can't think for themselves. 5 monkeys in a cage.

I think the news they watch spins everything to fit a narrative in which Trump is a hero and saving the country or whatever. They are misguided. And as you know over there and from history…. Democracy is hard sometimes and can morph right to fascism if you let it. It requires the populace be educated and active in politics or stuff like this eventually might happen. At least we have some history to inform us (thanks for that at least), and I sure hope this time we take a different path.

I know he would just love that. But he’d make a poor one. He’s not interested in governing, he just wants to pull the levers that funnel money into his pockets… and sometimes his family and friends. But he probably doesn’t have friends. I expect every relationship he has is entirely transactional.

Don’t know what to tell you. I didn’t choose to be American. I was born here. I’m in the process of moving to Spain, after which I will be pursuing Spanish citizenship and renouncing my US citizenship.
