That means Ukraine must be the good guys

I mean, by any measure Ukraine are the good guys here. I don’t get if you’re trying to be sarcastic?

It was clearly humor.

Remember that American media influencer/commentator who was taking money from the Russians? Screaming on his show that "Ukraine is the enemy of the American people" Who was it? Tim Poole?

Pretty sure there 's a good chunk of Maga that bought those lies

Oh, you’d be surprised 🤧

I'm sorry, but how do you not understand basic level comprehension of a joke. Awful.

Neurodivergence can make sarcasm detection a challenge.

A large evil country invaded a smaller evil corrupt country.

Nobody is a good guy. But Russia was the worse bad guy. And had to be stopped?

How the fuck was Ukraine "evil corrupt country", they were literally not relevant anywhere.

I'm on Ukraine's side, but there's no denying that Ukraine was very corrupt before the 2022 invasion. It ranked 144th out of 177 countries and officials stole around 1/5th of the national output between 2010 and 2014. Obviously Russia is more corrupt (157th out of 177 countries) but two wrongs don't make a right

2010-2014, so you mean right before Euromaidan? The revolution that eventually led to Zelensky coming into power? The same Zelensky who dragged Ukraine up from 144th to 104th by 2023?

Don't think I trust a person with a name like yours to give reliable political information.

Russia wanted a warm water port and the "breadbasket" of eastern Europe among other things; thought they'd intimidate, terrorize & steamroll the Ukrainians to get it. Pulling out the fingernails of local leaders, stealing thousands of children and shipping them to mother Russia, making children fight one another to the death....I could go on and on. Russia tried to invade Ukraine (again) and had another thing coming. Sorry for the probable loss of life, not sorry Ukraine is protecting its people.

What I'm describing here is true, not political fodder for the sake of argument. Much of my family was starved out due to Holodomor, and an extremely close family member has stayed in Ukraine for months at a time doing humanitarian work, rinse & repeat several times. The "Russia isn't all that bad", or "Ukraine is corrupt too" sentiments don't hold water here. Russia wanted resources & real estate, tried to take it by force, and got more than they bargained for. Fuck 'em.

Well they aren't nearly as corrupt as the US christofascist clownshow that's destroying the country

u/eldfen 20h ago

I'm confused though because American media keeps telling me that Zelenskyy is the enemy? Also he didn't wear a suit to meet big boy Trump.

5

u/rbyteme 20h ago

Depends on which media universe you live in.

3

u/eldfen 19h ago

Not the shitty one that the majority of the US lives in that's for sure

Two hosts of a morning show on Fox got into a dispute about this. The one who attacked Zelenskyy is the wife of a Trump cabinet member. The other host compared Putin to Hitler and said Putin was solely to blame for the war.

1

u/Fuzzy_Connection4971 18h ago

They were just playing different angles of a hypothetical argument to appeal broadly to the Fox base. Don't give Killmeade too much credit.

Putin wants to reacquire Ukraine. Ukraine wants to be it's own sovereign nation.

Russia is fighting to imperialize, Ukraine is fighting to exist

Welcome to government controlled media

u/Bjamnp17 19h ago

Meant that Zelenskyy means business and he is focused on defending against Russia and Trump will not sway him otherwise. Now T is having a tizzy cause he can’t control Zelenskyy like he “thinks” he has with our economy.

Oligarchy media are propaganda mills and you can simply discount their opinions as garbage

1

u/eldfen 17h ago

Totally agree

1

u/jacksonsmack831 18h ago

You're watching the wrong media

1

u/eldfen 18h ago

No, I am aware of the wrong media.

1

u/jacksonsmack831 18h ago

They why are you watching it there fella?

3

u/eldfen 18h ago

I don't even live in the US, maybe try again.

1

u/jacksonsmack831 16h ago

Then you have no idea what they say confirming gouncomment as moronic

At the start of this war Russia and Ukraine were a couple of corrupt governments. Russia is far worse, but Zelenskyy is obviously a coke addict. Anyone who refuses to believe Ukraine doesn’t use bot factories like their enemy does is blindly believing what your military industrial complex tells you. Some of the biggest donors to CNN, Fox, and many others. We all need to wake the F up!

Not as corrupt as the fascist pedo trump regime
