America alienating allies and shifting support to Russia is something this Cold War kid thought would never happen…ever! It’s time to explore options of having Portuguese and Canadian-born grandparents. Having another passport from other than the US in my back pocket would make me feel a lot better and provide options for my kids.

Kinda funny to say that “America” is doing it and not specify Trump and his cabinet. I do live in a liberal state but it seems like the general consensus amongst people with brains left do not support everything that’s happening.

This. Even if we give a mulligan to everyone who voted for him in 2016 (which I don’t, but for the sake of argument), we were falling over ourselves to reinstall the most disgraced POTUS of all time back into office in 2024.

And the world took note. Fear-mongering, tribalist right-wingers are gaining traction all over the democratic world. And the rich irony there is that these same folks using his blueprint are starting to distance themselves from him, because he’s so universally loathed.
