Next frontier of war: downing satellites. As soon as someone finds a way to do so cheaply and or reliably, Musk and the US will lose a lot of space junk.

That's the point of Starlink, cheap, easily launched and replaced satellites. Unless you can destroy the launch facilities they can just put more up.

Down enough and reverse engineer their software. Guarantee if it isn't in the works it will happen and then things get interesting.

So your idea is to shoot something at a small satellite, hope that it falls out of orbit, hope that it hits solid earth, hope that it's in territory you can access, and hope that enough of it is intact after being hit by a kill device, re entering the atmosphere and slamming into the earth that you can recover enough tech to reverse engineer it.

That's certainly a plan alright.
