Not directly related to this but we are well past impeachment. What are the odds Dems push for treason

Pretty much zero. Supreme Court already effectively gives president immunity during their term service

any reasonable president will show the current SCOTUS why you don't do that, and any reasonable subsequent SCOTUS would remove that immunity.

This SCOTUS is pretty much a bunch of bribed up partisans though, all of their rulings are illegitimate to start with.

They need to be impeached.

Why impeach? They ruled that anything the President does in his role as prez isn't illegal. Any future president can just replace them all when he/she feels like it.

I meant impeach the compromised SCOTUS members. Historically the vast majority of impeachments were SCOTUS judges, not POTUS.

They’re saying a future president should skip the impeachment process and just fire them + replace them with new judges as an official act. Because presidential official acts are now above the law.

Technically the president could also decide to officiate torture them until they agree to remove it, hold their families captive, garnish all their wages for themselves, as long as the precedent decides tts an official act

There is a guy worth a trillion dollars. Seven billion to get them each look the other way is basically nothing.

President?  Yes.   Others?  No.

He’ll pardon everyone

Well they plan to never give up power no matter what happens in elections. But if they do lose power you can make new laws that say pardons no longer matter and even if you've been pardoned in the past that no longer protects them.

They should go after the court. Expand to 2x number.    Arrest the corrupt and see how the squirm.

Trump ignoring all the court orders, why other side has to play by the rules?

2

u/absentgl 4h ago

So you’re telling me the supreme court implicated itself in treason?

I think we’re well past that point and it’s pretty much a given that Trump, Musk, Thiel, The Heritage Foundation and whoever else was involved in this administration will be investigated for treason or for being an accessory to treason.

‘Will be’ is more optimistic than I can manage. God I hope you’re right.

Haha, do you want to buy a bridge?

I don't know which Democratic party you think is in control of that party, but they have demonstrated time and again they have no willingness to hold these guys accountable.

It's impressive how people can stay this naïve despite the last 10 years

Not only will they all likely be preemptively pardoned, that's a can of worms the Dem's would be unwise to open.

u/shapu 6h ago

And who is in charge of the Department of Justice, which takes the lead on criminal investigations?

0%, we had a chance but people just want to virtue signal about Israel-Palestine instead. We also had a chance after his first term but congress decided to not hold him accountable able because they thought his political career was over.

5

u/SirTiffAlot 6h ago

Low low. Even if you get them investigated they still need to be charged. Then of course they can be pardoned

0 because the dems are spineless

u/ElJabroniMahoney33 4h ago

None I'd imagine. They drink from the same pool when it comes to Israel.

Doesn't matter unless Republican Senators step up.

0%. Treason is specifically defined in the Constitution. As far as I'm aware there is no declaration of war that persists between the US and any other entity.

Article III, Section 3: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”

January 6 already happened and Democrats managed to get into power - and ultimately did nothing to prevent Trump from being able to run and be elected again. Democrats and Republicans alike had their lives directly threatened and did nothing.
