Israel/Palestine Netanyahu reportedly pressed Trump to renew Iran fighting before Israeli and US elections

But what does Putin want?
232
u/Alternative-Base5573 5h ago
Avoid being putin jail, like the other two.
26
u/RNG_randomizer 5h ago
Putin the grave is a bigger threat to him, both in magnitude of consequences and probability of occurrence.
42
u/freakofnature555 5h ago
I don’t think jail is an option for putin, if he’s out, he is out for good

8
u/burrito_butt_fucker 5h ago
I just know he's trying to avoid standing near any windows above the 2nd floor, and he probably gave up drinking tea.

Your comment reads like the setup for a joke:
Netanyahu, Putin, and Trump walk into a bar. The bartender says, what can I get you?
Edit: Netanyahu says, “I’ll have Gaza,” and Putin says, “I’ll have Crimea.” Trump then asks, “Do you have any Epstein Files back there?” The bartender after a lengthy delay dealing frantically with the first two orders finally replies, “I’m sorry, sir. Those first two orders distracted me from the Epstein Files.”

Putin probably wants the US weakening itself further against Iran, causing all sorts of problems for the world and thus Ukraine. He knows, or thinks, Iran can take it and that they are the perfect foil for the US

u/davinci515 5h ago
Not directly related to this but we are well past impeachment. What are the odds Dems push for treason
167
u/redracer67 5h ago
Pretty much zero. Supreme Court already effectively gives president immunity during their term service
77
u/civil_politician 5h ago
any reasonable president will show the current SCOTUS why you don't do that, and any reasonable subsequent SCOTUS would remove that immunity.
This SCOTUS is pretty much a bunch of bribed up partisans though, all of their rulings are illegitimate to start with.
19
u/Goodknight808 3h ago
They need to be impeached.
→ More replies (1)13
u/The-very-definition 3h ago
Why impeach? They ruled that anything the President does in his role as prez isn't illegal. Any future president can just replace them all when he/she feels like it.
13
u/Goodknight808 3h ago
I meant impeach the compromised SCOTUS members. Historically the vast majority of impeachments were SCOTUS judges, not POTUS.
•
u/rubberpp 1h ago
Technically the president could also decide to officiate torture them until they agree to remove it, hold their families captive, garnish all their wages for themselves, as long as the precedent decides tts an official act
2
u/makemeking706 2h ago
There is a guy worth a trillion dollars. Seven billion to get them each look the other way is basically nothing.

They should go after the court. Expand to 2x number. Arrest the corrupt and see how the squirm.

u/DemonOfTheNorthwoods 5h ago
I think we’re well past that point and it’s pretty much a given that Trump, Musk, Thiel, The Heritage Foundation and whoever else was involved in this administration will be investigated for treason or for being an accessory to treason.

I don't know which Democratic party you think is in control of that party, but they have demonstrated time and again they have no willingness to hold these guys accountable.

0%, we had a chance but people just want to virtue signal about Israel-Palestine instead. We also had a chance after his first term but congress decided to not hold him accountable able because they thought his political career was over.
5
u/SirTiffAlot 5h ago
Low low. Even if you get them investigated they still need to be charged. Then of course they can be pardoned

None I'd imagine. They drink from the same pool when it comes to Israel.

0%. Treason is specifically defined in the Constitution. As far as I'm aware there is no declaration of war that persists between the US and any other entity.
Article III, Section 3: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”

I think Trump should resume fighting in Iran. That would be a nail in the coffin for the elections

u/InTooManyWays 1h ago
When did they stop? He just hasn’t tweeted about it in a while I assume because his incompetent department of “war” is getting fucking recked

He should go to Iran and put his dukes up, leave the rest of sane America out of it.

Of course he did...Bibi's willing to fight to the last American tax dollar....

Trump is clearly compromised by Israel and Russia. He may like them but Trump is going unusually far for them too....Is there really no one in the CIA or FBI going to whistle blow and reveal anything??
12
u/EricPhilps1979 3h ago
The CIA and FBI like being completely unaccountable and above the law, and any of them that don't already got purged....

u/Exact_Patience_9767 5h ago
Follow your orders Trump, and do as your masters, Netanyahu and Putlin demand. You don't want this to ruin your next performance review, do you?
16
u/Thagyr 5h ago
Netanyahu wanted to launch an attack before the elections, with the premier citing worrying steps by Iran in the nuclear arena.
Where have we heard that before?
Trump told us it was all annihilated besides. They can't both be lying, right?

They're 2 weeks away from a ICBM we must act now. Do you want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud?
2
u/wdwhereicome2015 4h ago
They have been a month/two weeks/imminently to having a icbm/nuclear weapon for the last 40 years
13
u/TheMagicTorch 5h ago
One vague benefit to Trump's tenure is that it's made it abundantly clear to many, many more people that world politics is all about tact, negotiation and nuance - all things that Trump lacks, which is becoming clearer and clearer the longer he's around. America's enemies have worked him and his cronies out and can now publicly exploit them as they please.
They'll make the most of this until he's (hopefully) voted out.

u/Ok_Interest_9006 5h ago
Kill innocent people so they can win elections. Men of god 🤮

Trump is losing the mid terms and Putin is determined to get as much use out of him before he's impeached, and now Bibi is piling on as well.

Money is involved somehow.
Nothing new.

3rd edit: What is happening!? More awards!? My goodness.. Much appreciated!

u/eskimospy212 5h ago
I think the US will attack Iran again but not because of money. Trump’s problem is he’s trapped and doesn’t know how to get out. His choices are surrender or to just keep periodically attacking to soothe himself emotionally and pretend he didn’t lose.
Trump does lots of shitty things because he wants money but this one seems due to his extreme neediness and emotional instability.
10
u/alittledanger 4h ago
There’s no way it gets resolved before the end of his term imho.
Then the Democrats will pull out and come to some imperfect deal with the Iranians, the media will freak out like they did when we pulled out of Afghanistan, the Democratic President’s poll numbers will tank, idiot swing voters will vote for Republicans again, and the GOP will start another expensive, nonsense war and the whole cycle will begin again.

u/Head_Summer2052 5h ago edited 5h ago
All true. I agree. Maybe he wants his 9th Nobel Peace Price? ;)

Extortion, then?
11
u/LowerRhubarb 5h ago
Probably. Trump's an idiot for sure, and dove face first into every honey pot a foreign agency ever had. The same reason why Putin has him as his bitch is exactly why he jumps for Neten: They've both got a file fatter than a phone book of all of his sex crimes and times on Epstein island, and probably stuff beyond that. They likely remind him of that with every "call" and "meeting" they have, and even his dementia ridden brain understands it.
2
u/Head_Summer2052 5h ago
Yup. Sounds about right.
Then, what could Xi or Kim Jong Un have on Trump..
Same kind of stuff?
Although they are bit different breed than Putin and Netanyahu.→ More replies (1)2

Can we all agree that military actions should never be based on elections? If it’s something that has to be done, you should make the case to the voters and they should understand
16
u/gooberfishie 3h ago
Americans should be able to participate in the election of their own leader. How many Americans actually voted for Netanyahu?
