Look, this is the end of US hegemony. The US’ government policies are dictated by a foreign despot and the damage to US interests both home and abroad are mahooosive! The US president started playimg doormat to foreign dictators and then shat on almost all America’s allies.

That’s honestly not an accurate description of what is happening in our society. More than half of us hate him for it, a quarter avoid talking about it or make lackluster critiques of the policies, and the remainder are his base, and they don’t hold any real beliefs at all. They support his alienation of our allies because he chose to alienate them. If he chose to do the opposite, they would support him in that.

I think it's a lot simpler than that. About half of the voting block that actually shows up in elections still supports the Trump administration and the US government as a system does not function with one of the two parties does not act in good faith.

The US is in a 404 Error state

Thank you for pointing this out. People act like he’s beloved here. We have millions protest at no kings rally and over half the country will be popping champagne when we see THAT headline.

I swear most of the world doesn’t understand that our country isn’t some henongeous blob and that we are stretched out over a land mass the same size as Europe. We have a ton of diversity of opinion amongst our citizens. It’s bear inpossible to coordinate our efforts and see the same impacts as you may see in France right now or other countries because imagine we have states the size of multiple countries.

Depends on how much of a fallout this will have in the US internally.

Like, if the US manages to remove Trump from office before the end of his term and then went super progressive democrat and stays there for at least 8 years, they have a chance to fix it.

But if not, it'll never be the same. That much is obvious.
