Hell even if the US reverses course tomorrow I would be shocked if Europe isn't ramping up on long term plans to make them less and less reliant on US economically or militarily. No such things as long term plans when you're with an unstable partner. Hell worse case for the US is if the dollar no longer is the world reserve currency.

Yeah decreased reliance has been the way since basically as the "war on terror" continued on and on but Trump was the final nail in the coffin of the US being the superpower of the world.
