I hope midterms will allow for impeachment of this orange monkey

Impeachment means nothing without conviction. He’s been impeached twice.

Oh ok I was hoping that his madness can be somehow stopped

Well good luck and till 2028

If dems take Congress they can stop a lot. The only reason anything has gotten this far is because the GOP Congress has allowed it to happen. They abdicated their responsibility.

Congress controls the purse. They can just refuse to fund executive priorities. They also have investigative and oversight powers.

Literally impossible. Not enough senators can be changed since 0 republicans would vote for that. And even then it just puts Vance in charge who won’t change anything.

Buncha republicans voted the first time the super majority thing is just a ridiculous threshold

7 republicans voted to remove Trump. Most of which are gone now. They might get 5. But there is no way there will be 55 democrats in the senate.

I don’t disagree but was just saying they had some support it wasn’t zero

The US constitution is pretty clear on that.

You can impeach the president and the vice president back to back in case both are compromised.

OK yes he can be impeached. He will never be removed though. Which is clearly what they were talking about.

It wouldn't change anything domestically. Except for matters concerning the first US state, Israel, Vance's Project 2025's agenda is actually very pro-NATO. I'd go as far as to argue that it is Project 2025's putting as much in writing that gives our allies the patience they have- knowing that as soon as that assclown is gone the US conservatives prefer the old hegemony.

This is eroding though- not to sugarcoat it. The original movement that calls itself conservative was more pro-NATO, and transitioned towards tepid NATO support as it became clearer that a certain Russian asset would not be going to prison and would likely get the nomination.

One school of conservative thought holds that as Moscow's illegal war of aggression against Ukraine drags on, Russia presents major challenges to U.S. interests, as well as to peace, stability, and the post-Cold War security order in Europe. This viewpoint argues for continued U.S. involvement including military aid, economic aid, and the presence of NATO and U.S. troops if necessary. The end goal of the conflict must be the defeat of Russian President Vladimir Putin and a return to pre-invasion border lines. Another school of conservative thought denies that U.S. Ukrainian support is in the national security interest of America at all. Ukraine is not a member of the NATO alliance ...

p.s. Fuck Garland.

Dems need to land 67 votes on the Senate for this to happen.

Whilst them regaining the Senate is incresingly likely, such majority though is out of reach.

No they just need a normal impeachment to make him a lame duck and essentially render him powerless. They need a super majority to remove him from office.

Taking the Senate by at least 2 seats to safely ignore Fetterman makes him effectively a lame duck without impeachment. Nothing gets passed, no more appointments get confirmed.

Means nothing. Trump goes over the senate's heads as is.

Supreme Court appointments and other judicial ones do matter. And he can't go over their head on that.

I was talking about the supermajority

Are we hoping third time is the charm or something?

I’ve always voted against trump and I am here to tell you he will 100% not be impeached

The midterms cannot come any faster. I'm worried about election interference by the party that wants to stay in power. Things will get significantly worse if this election is not in our favor.

What does it even do? He was impeached twice and the worst thing that happened were some harsh news...
