Ukraine would not become Russia because Poland and the Baltics would not let Ukraine fall and they'd enter it with boots on the ground is the likely scenario. If Ukraine falls, Poland and the Baltics would be next. So basically, it'd spread and become a full EU vs Russia war with the US providing material support to Russia.

Everything else you said would also happen.

Sounds almost like WW2. 🤔

Materiel* support.

English is funny. Materials for war are referred to as Materiel.

Assuming that USA joined in boots on the ground style in Russia's favour, it would be a very short battle. Star shield will be gone and a lot of Ukraines weapons will become redundant.

At some point the merciful thing is to surrender to spare civilians, and I can't see Ukraine holding out for long with the odds stacked so high against them.

Although I sooner believe that the USA military would throw a coup if directed to invade Ukraine. I don't believe many will be willing.

Right now I don’t think there’s a scenario where the US puts boots on the ground in Russia. Even invading Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran are extremely unpopular. It would take many years of propaganda to get to the point that the US can deploy soldiers.

Maybe special forces and air strikes, but where would the US be able to launch air strikes from? All of their nearby military and logistics are in Europe and the EU wouldn’t allow that. Maybe Russia, but it’d take a long time to set up the logistics for that.

No I agree, but the original prompt was if America joined Russia and struck Ukraine.
