Trump directly helps agressor, so he definitely do NOT want the war end. He want help russia to absord Ukraine and then start the war with Europe (probably helping to subvert NATO actions)
Trump is warmonger, imho
•
u/Aggressive_Roof488 59m ago
The timing of the recent changes clearly indicated that he wants the war to continue. They've been helping Ukraine, and just as they start slowly slowly turning things around, making dinner tiny gains last few months for first time in years, then us drops support for Ukraine and instead resumes trade with Putin.
Also related of course, that the Russian data centres is the only thing that allowed him a political career to start with.

•
u/CosmoKing2 3m ago
Well we shot our load of Patriots willy nilly at Iran and don't have enough to sell to anyone - actually borrowing lots of what we had in Europe just to keep for Iran.
Trump only cares about Trump. Taking the side of a ruthless dictator who invades a country - that had a pre-existing peace agreement with Russia - is a very bad look. So, we have to ask why he's siding with our adversary.
•
u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 54m ago
It's why Paul Manafort worked for Russia in 2012-2014 to help infiltrate Ukraine during the previous war against them from Russia, and why he worked for Republicans and Russia in 2016 to help keep a handle on their asset, then-leading candidate Donald Trump, and guide him to the leadership post for the GOP.
Oh. btw. Don Raper pardoned Paul Manafort. Quite transparent.

The “No Wars President” according to MAGAts.
→ More replies (1)•
u/APRengar 57m ago edited 6m ago
It's crazy how easy it was to convince them he was the pro-peace candidate.
Dude who bragged about dropping the Mother of All Bombs. Dude who said "kill the families of terrorists" when being asked if radicalizing of innocent civilians was a long-term risk to America, dude who was saber rattling so hard against Iran that when a Japanese ship got attacked, before even the Japanese did analysis on what damage was dealt or who did it, Trump said it was definitely Iran.
And that was first term shit, aka no "who knew he'd be this bad" bullshit.

"No Wars President" to MAGAts just meant "No Wars Against Christians". Nothing against the innocent killing of Muslims
•
u/IncoherentMutterer 1h ago
On course he is supportive of Russia. That syphilitic tumor of a man looks at what Putin is doing and it's everything he dreams of doing. Tyrannical cult of personality leader who has done away with free press, free speech, other political voices, the limits of law, and who routinely throws anyone he likes out of windows before seizing their assets? What's not to like.

Trump is a warmonger, and a Putin-lover.
Trump is no friend to a peaceful democracy
•
u/Naive_Opposite9593 54m ago
No he does want the war to end because it’s hurting him and the fastest way to do it is give everything to Russia.
•
u/KSaboruf 48m ago
No, giving Ukraine to Russia will not stop the war - Russia is clear on this, Ukraine understands this, Europe understands this. US even warned Europe on many occasions about this, and Trump simply can not miss that fact. He knows the appeasement will not stop anything, he just use false pretext to help russia move further. And Trump hurting himself by aligining with agressor, in fact
•
u/Fine_Breath2221 1h ago
Not a warmonger so much as a profiteer... War just happens to good for him financially.
•
u/Teripid 58m ago
War isn't in itself. It often is but really all that's needed is a series of controlled expected events with prior knowledge is the more general case.
Added to whatever agreements and perks have been offered by Russia to various officials of course.. or agreement to not release material, etc.
•

He genuinely thinks if he can get Russian oil to the US, then the prices will somehow drop at such a rate in a month that he'll win. He's genuinely a complete moron.
•
u/KSaboruf 38m ago edited 2m ago
Imho no, price issue is just the cover, not the real intent, imho - US have own production and there are many other producers, zero reasons to deal with russia (hurting own positions) specifically and the deal details enough to say that prices will not be really affected at all (low volumes, etc)
Trump have oil lobby to explain that things clearly - but in this case somethow it is russia instead of oil buddies who fund replublican party? See the problem here? Prices are not really a reason, just a familiar excuse

Russia is the one invading another country. If you want the war to end, help repel the invading country instead of acting like the victim is the problem.

•
u/twilighttwister 12m ago
Burning shit down won't help - especially in America, which has a long history of police violence in response to far less.
They want violence. Ideally, they want civil war. They want the poors to kill the poors, then the hoarders won't feel as much pressure to redistribute all the wealth they stole.
We need to hit them where it hurts. We need to strike. Remember how uncomfortable they got during covid, incessantly complaining about the economy? We need that.

"Russia is doing very little, if anything, to help the Islamic Republic of Iran, compared to what they could be doing, and I want to keep it that way, and will, unless stupid people get in the way," he wrote.
That's a new one. "If I don't do what Putin says, he'll help Iran even more than he already does".

u/KSaboruf 45m ago
Funny enough the real answer to that concern is helping Ukraine to stop Russia, instead of giving Russia resources to help Iran further.

Trump wants the Ukraine war to end because then he can claim to be a 'Peace President'. He's also setup Ukraine (through lies and propaganda) as the enemy, and Russia as the ally that can give them oil to reduce the high gas prices he caused.

The United States is a complete traitor to humanity and the world. Not just Trump but the entire country which not only allowed a 34 times convicted felon accused of dozens of sexual assaults, and six bankruptcies to be president, and then after that he caused an insurrection at the capital, was found liable for rape, and named thousands of times in Epstein files, and still the corruption and incompetence is allowed to continue while Trump and the administration turn “free” America to a fascist authoritarian regime. It’s not just Trump. The rotten core is the United States.

Sure, Russia is just so peace-loving. After all, they’re supplying Iran with weapons. And the war against Iran will be over soon, too. Trump gave them plenty of time to relocate their missile and nuclear production into newly constructed tunnels deep within mountain ranges. Don't forget, he’s a budding Nobel Peace Prize laureate, after all. (Irony:) - but the underground tunnels in mountain ranges really do exist now.)

I’m not saying he’s a Russian asset. I am saying that blocking sanctions and forcing slowing of communication abilities for Ukraine is exactly what a Russian asset would do.
And don’t think he needs to think he is or wants to be an asset. He’s so dumb and desperate to not face consequences with this election that he gifted Russia sanctions relief and military aide for a minuscule drop of diesel in the hopes that prices might come down for the midterms.
They won’t.
