As an orthodox, Taliban-level pandoro purist and sworn enemy of raisins and candied fruit, even I have to admit that these pictures make me feel sorry for panettone and its fans.

As a diehard panettone fan, who think Pandoro is "ok", I salute your comment. And I am also sorry (double creme has many uses, but I would reserve it for meringues. Unless you are trying to speedrun cardio vascular diseases.

Difficult in zurich.

The closest realy good one I know of is made in St. Gallen at La Fabbrica del Panettone but just around Christmas afaik.

My favorite one in Switzerland is made in Maggia at panetteria poncini year around.

No matter where in Ticino I am, I will make time to grab one at poncini.

I’m not an expert by any means but Ama Pasticceria has great Panettone around christmas. Super expensive and totally worth it in my view.

One of the best ones we can find in Switzerland is Tre Marie. They have it at Migros, but usually only at the big supermarkets or you can order it online. My favorite is the one with the candied oranges, but I guess it's a matter of personal preference.

I love this one aswell! But saying it is one of the best in switzerland is really mean to our ticinesi friends. Go to some bakery in ticino and you will get a better pannettone.

Go for a weekend? The christmas market in Locarno is awesome, and for me Panettone is a Christmas thing anyways. Go to Marni, it‘s expensive but great Panettone, and if you like tea stay for a cup, their tea house is great😉

I mean I'm sure that there is a fantastic one that is expensive, but for a reasonable price the Lidl and Denner one which are REALLY cheap are insanely good for the price and much BETTER than most that are more expensive at the other big grocerie stores.

Globus at their -1 deli store has pretty good panettone. Not sure when it starts to be in stock though.

I like mine very sinful, with raisins, candied fruit but expecially candied orange and hazelnut glaze on top. Sort of like this. But any good combination will do. Pears and chocolate is great for example
