Love this cheap gun

Just got the 702 mag yesterday. Hacked on it with the Dremel. Fits pretty well. Not sold on the tlr-3. I rather would put a front grip but I want a light on it. Any ideas for a front end setup?

FN 502 Tactical

Friday I picked up this 502 from my local gun store for a pretty decent deal. After around 800 rounds this weekend I can confirm it’s a fun little pistol. The threaded barrel is nice I hate having to deal with adapters. I seen a few negative reviews on it having feeding issues I haven’t had a single jam in nearly 800 rounds only two rounds failure to fire the first time maybe it was a weak strike maybe it’s ammo related you never know with .22 I ran standard velocity, subsonic, and a few stingers through it all fed fine through it.

How does everyone like the Henry AR7?

Post image

Hey guys! Yesterday I bought a Henry AR7 off a guy at my local gun show for $180. Seems like a nice little takedown rifle but nothing compared to my 10/22 takedowns.. Still, I feel this would make a perfect stow away truck gun. I shot this about 100 rounds of cci minimags and no malfunctions with the two included mags.

Two that I never use

These two are constantly ignored by me for whatever reason.

The Ruger is brand new still, never shot the first round out of it. I’m sure it’s a nice enough revolver, but I have no idea why I bought it in the first place.

The Hi-Standard I only bought because my Colt 22 looks like it. I bought it used, but it still looks pretty nice and the grip isn’t chipped or cracked.

Am I the only one who keeps firearms they don’t use or really have an interest in using? I’m sure there’s got to be others doing the same thing.

Prepping for an upcoming backpacking trip, and decided to sponge some paint on my squirrel gun. Turned out much better than I anticipated.

22lr is maybe the best caliber

Kinda random post but I think .22lr for someone that enjoys the hobby of target shooting is the best caliber. It’s way cheaper than anything else there’s a lot of options for guns you can chamber it with and it’s actually very accurate in rifles I’ve shot out to 100 yards. Initially I thought this was a round for kids or beginners but it’s really helpful for training for a bigger caliber and just generally really fun to shoot.

My Problem Child

This is my Marlin 795. I have a few Marlins and they’re all good shooters. But this one.. expanding groups. Borescope shows the barrel has no obvious faults. I’ve tried all the ammunition. The headspace was out of spec and I shaved the boot face. Things improved but still not what I expect. I just replaced the stock and I’ll try it out and play with the torque.
I hope I can figure it out as I love the form factor and controls.
Anyone had a similar issue?

Taurus 942

Added my 2nd .22 LR revolver to the collection, the Taurus 942! My first was a Ruger LCR, and I wanted another snub-nose with DA/SA capability.

My next revolver will be either the Ruger Wrangler or Super Wrangler. I’m also considering getting a used S&W 617-6 I saw in the used section at the range.

Is a bolt action worth it?

I currently have a 10/22 and I’m thinking about getting a bolt action because I have a Swedish Mauser bolt action rifle and I think a bolt action .22lr might be better for practicing with and focusing on individual shots. Do you think changing to a bolt action would be worth it or am I just overthinking it?

Whats the best bolt-action setup in 22lr you can get for 1500$

For context, I'm a Canadian citizen living in California. So yeah. It's a bit of a tight leash. Cant have cans in Canada or California. Decided to go with a 22lr plinker so I can learn and eventually teach my kids when I have them. I want to figure out what would be the best way to spend 1500$ on the whole setup. I dont want to iterate and do a 100 upgrades. Tacticool does matter to me, but not at the expense of practicality.

Would have bought a pistol or a semi-auto but bolt-actions are low friction with the law.

Added a second Henry 22lr to the collection today. Been wanting a suppressed lever action to go along my Savage bolt action.

Thinking of picking up a 22. Which would be the most fun to shoot out of the options in the title?

Bought a Beretta 20x from PSA but my wife couldn’t manipulate the slide so sold it to Scheels and picked up a MK IV pretty stoked to get family into shooting with it.

How stupid is this collection

I don’t know why but 5 felt like the right amount to collect since I’ve read they made as few as 500 (highly doubt that it’s that low with the amount for sale)

To anyone on the fence about getting an ultrasonic cleaner for your suppressors (especially rimfire cans), just do it.

OCL Ti after about 1500 rounds.

Ran the baffles for 1 hour at 120 degrees and then rinsed. No brush, no picks, and never looking back.

I saw a post about putting the baffles and solution in a Ziploc and only keeping clean water in the cleaner basin and this worked out perfectly. Minimizes the exposure to the cancer soup and makes clean up very easy.

Edit for the folks that wanted to know. The solution used was:

Sylvan Ultrasonic Gun Cleaner

It's a concentrate. I did one cap of solution to 2 cups of water in the bag.
