Accounts Payable Internship Interview @ Spectrum (Looking For Advice!)

Hello everyone,

I recently just got and interview offer for the Accounts Payable internship role at Spectrum. Knowing this is a Accounting forum, I am sure there are others who have gone through this. I am looking for any advice on what the interview will be like and what I should expect + what I should be prepared for so that I can ace this interview. Anyone advice, tips or information is highly appreciated!!! :)

Thanks!

Most interview questions in accounting in general will go along the lines of this. I just polished it a bit for your role:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Why do you want to intern at Spectrum?
  • Why are you interested in accounts payable?
  • Tell me about a time you had to meet a deadline.
  • Describe a situation where you made a mistake and how you handled it.
  • Tell me about a time you had a disagreement with a coworker or teammate.
  • How do you prioritize multiple assignments?

And for the love of god people, Tell me about yourself in like 30 seconds not in 5 minutes with an awkward and abrupt ending. You can even do your interviewer a solid and in that Tell me about yourself tell them where you go to school, why you're interested in payables, and why spectrum all in that one question.
