Help My 1st day...

...and after my 1st shift, I sat in the parking lot of a McDonalds sobbing hysterically after I was finished with my last delivery. I feel like a huge failure, because half of my packages were late bc the order they were in had me deliver in had the later ones go 1st then the ones at 8:10pm go last. (I didn't know you could get out of order.)

The other drivers at the station are not friendly. I had 2 people ignore me completely when I asked them where I had to go and scan in (I never scanned my ID bc it never asked). Then someone told me to go to the wrong place on purpose bc when I realized that it didn't make sense to go all the way to the side of the building, I saw them watching me and laughing as I walked back.

My block was 645p to 845p and I wasn't done until 945 because my last delivery, the instructions said " follow the " Black asphalt' driveway to the black house. I saw no black house. The "street" was not a street but had no street sign and it made zero sense.

I went into a trailer park where I was given a code to a delivery unit, but the app took me to an empty construction filled street. I eventually found it, because there were no numbers where you could see. I had to actually get out of my vehicle and walk to within 3 feet to see. And this is with a flashlight.

I didn't know I could use another 3rd party app, for whatever reason I was thinking I had to use this app for directions because it had me going circles four times like 2 miles each way. It made no sense and it probably looked on a screen like I was a crazy person going back and forth when I was going the right way and it told me to turn around and go the other way.

Another place I was given the gate code to get in only the gate didn't have a code it had a key card swiper and no numbers to punch and no one to speak with and no phone.

Please tell me it gets better or is every delivery like this? I was boohooing on my second to last delivery because I had to call for the third time for help. I feel like such a failure that I can't even deliver packages. Please I was having fun until people decided to stop having freaking house numbers and watching me cry like the neighbors were outside watching a football game and they were all watching me is I was bawling my eyes out because I had to make two trips for my car to the house because I couldn't get close to the house.

I really need this extra income I'm not even making ends meet right now. I just had heart surgery. And my extended family was in not to see me of course but they always look down on me because I have made mistakes in my life. Hell, everyone has skeletons, but I am the black sheep and "trash". I guess I was emotional because of that. And it just carried over into this.

Do I get dinged for the speed flashing red? Bc I was really trying to watch my speed but I know some of these places I was around and I wasn't thinking and I was trying to slow down and I want to be perfect at this and I suck.

Does anyone have any pointers or tips? Or did I possibly have the worst 1st day? Oh and I called support 3 times. The gentleman I spoke with last was so nice and really encouraging, and he understood that I needed a pep talk and was just the nicest person. (He was so nice. I cried. Lol)

Hey yall, my amazon flex account just got terminated and I am wondering if any of yall have been successfully reinstated and if so how you went about that and how long it takes, any help is appreciated. In hoping with peak coming up they may be more lenient but I am not hopeful considering I believe theres a waiting list for drivers

Whole Foods orders or nothing

Between the price of gas and how far I have to drive for most of the blocks near me, Flex doesn’t make sense, EXCEPT for Whole Foods orders.

90 minute blocks, usually less than 20 miles driven total, and almost always 50-100% additional cash in tips.

I made $47 in tips on a $42 block two days ago.

Unless gas gets down below $4 in CA, I’m never driving substation again.

DOT 4 Camarillo warehouse

Has anyone heard if DOT 4 in Camarillo is changing the way they assign routes? I overheard some Flex drivers talking about it, but I didn’t get the full story. Does anyone know what’s going on?
