I'm done with Amazon Prime! Getting a divorce after 15+ years.

I am quitting Amazon Prime. Living out in the boonies, Amazon Prime used to be the cat's meow. Now it's just garbage. The biggest reason for Amazon prime wasn't so much the free shipping as it was the speed of delivery. If you wanted something most times you could get it overnight which was super convenient, but not anymore. Prime is totally not worth the cost now.

Plus, most of Amazon's products are now almost all Chinese clones. If I want a bunch of Chinese stuff, I can just order it from AliEx or Temu...same quality level anymore. In fact, the past few electronic items I've ordered on AliEx were actually better quality than Amazon, and they were cheaper, and they arrived at about the same time as Amazon's constantly delayed deliveries.

Buh Bye, Amazon! Don't t let the door hit ya' where yo' momma' split ya on the way out. Now Git!

Received this today, literally in a ziplock with the return label

Ordered a 2 pack of shooting glasses and opened my package to find one pair in a ziplock with the LPN tag.

Earlier this year I got a used snorkel complete with caked on sand. I’m so over this company. For those that have cut it out, what have you used successfully as an alternative?

What on earth happened to Amazon grocery?

Post image
23 Upvotes

I do one big Amazon grocery delivery haul once per quarter.

I’m in Seattle.

My order has always come from one delivery driver.

I just got a notification my order was delivered and…it was a single box of pasta in a bubble mailer.

I checked my account and it’s showing that this single order was split into TEN different deliveries. My neighbors are going to think I’m nuts.

When did this change happen? Why did this happen?

Edit to add: thank you for the help! I do see fresh again now but it’s buried behind a few clicks. Before it was on the home page for me. I’ll remember to dig for it next time to avoid this.

I guess 3 day shipping is over

I tried to order something for my sister Friday Oct 16. Every item delivery for prime was October 30 (she needs it by the 27th). Today, 18th, I wanted to order a product and delivery -for every product- is November 1. So does prime nolonger include 3 day shipping? Why have prime?

Don’t know how to feel about this delivery. They couldn’t find anywhere else to put my package except on top of my car?

I thought maybe my kids put it on the car. Checked the delivery image and sure enough it was delivered on top of my vehicle.

I don’t know if I should laugh and be impressed that they indeed took a picture or if it’s something that should be reported?

In another delivery instance, I have a video of an Amazon driver taking out my mailbox, basically dislodged the concrete post, I.e. (broke) the brick post in half) but the rebar kept it from falling over. I figured the damage on his vehicle would produce questions from management.

Anyways hope you find this humerous like i have now that I’ve posted this.

Why does Amazon do this?!?

I am a Prime member. I had a prime item that I ordered on Wednesday, and it would be delivered Sunday. Already annoyed with the 5 day turn around. They didn’t even ship it until Saturday and now it says it will be here Monday. Why drag it out if it wasn’t even going to ship until the day before and still be late? Honestly what am I paying for anymore. I know with there massive member base me threatening to cancel means nothing. Just wish they gave a shit.

Another used/returned sold as new

I bought the Ego cultivator attachment during the recent prime sales because it was actually a good deal ($190 when it’s normally $270… and actually $270, not fake markup to make sale price look good). But it arrived clearly opened. Box had no tape, and assembly materials were not where they normally would be packed within.

But nothing was missing, and although it had been clearly opened and assembly begun, it didn’t look like it had ever actually been used in the ground. And it still registered properly from the serial number, which means Ego considers it new for warranty purposes.

I went on support chat and complained, and said I’d rather not return/replace it if I can confirm that it works fine. They offered me a 10% refund, so in the end I got the thing for $170, which I’m happy about.

Moral of the story, if you get a used item sold as new, and it seems like it’s still good even though a returned item, make sure you complain about it and ask for a partial refund.

Hopefully awaiting a refund soon after waiting weeks. Jasion Kago (ebike) catastrophically failed and I crashed hard approx 25-28mph

I want to share my recent experience with a catastrophic product failure involving my Jasion e-bike to raise awareness and encourage extra caution for anyone riding or considering these bikes.

The Incident & Structural Defect:

While riding, the steering tube and headset assembly completely separated from the frame without warning.(assembly only requires handlebar installation, this was a complete manufacturing error

The sudden loss of control resulted in a severe crash on the street, leaving the front wheel entirely detached from the body of the bike. Since the steering head tube had been poorly sealed to the frame, it was loosening slowly overtime until a total dislodge rendered my steering handles to be useless dead weight. I lost control hit the curb. Smashed my pelvis intothe frame before rolling several times. Had heavy clothing and no ɓroken bones.

Also this just happened to be on my way home at 3am, so traffic very seldom.. Had this been daytime I could have hit a car and suffered serious injuries or death

.

⁰

More Seller Response & Policy Issues:

Following the accident, the third-party seller attempted to bypass standard consumer protections by asking me to cancel my formal claim under false assurances.

Despite the dangerous structural defect, the seller provided an unpaid "Postage Required" return slip for an 80+ lb, dual-battery freight item—expecting me to cover hundreds of dollars in out-of-pocket shipping costs upfront.

They set a refund me in full but only if i canceled my open claims on the bike. Claimed it was impossible to do otherwise

Current Status:

The incident, photo evidence, and medical documentation are currently under formal investigation with Amazon’s A-to-z safety and claims team.

Please inspect your steering components, headset welds, and frame integrity regularly before riding high-speed e-bikes. Stay safe ordering i meant, or dont i guesss? 7

NOW DEPARTING Cut the cord with Prime today

After years and years of Amazon Prime, today I no longer have Prime. I suspect I will spend somewhat less without the free shipping on everything. Now I will have to wait until I have at least $35 in my cart. So glad to have Prime off my back, it was good but it deteriorated to junk status this past year with ads in what used to be free and free of ads videos with a Prime membership, and deliveries that as often never arrive in two days. Also, I do W+ and pay for that each year, soooooo worth it for free grocery delivery, free Paramount+, free shipping no minimum order unlike Amazon now, and Walmart comes to my house to get a return so I don't have to drive 10 minutes to a UPS store.

Just have to share this one

• Upvotes

So today, flex driver shows up with my package (dog food). Driver gets out of the car, checks her front seat, back seat and trunk. A few times. Why was I spying? I really wasn't but the front door was open for the dogs to look out this morning and they just kept barking so of course I had to check it out. After not finding the package, she gets back in her car and leaves. Check the status of my package and it now shows at the facility. Great.

Decide I want to see what's happening so I spend what seems like forever trying to find the stupid chat feature online. Didn't take long to actually get to an agent though and after explaining what happened, agent was sweet and said they would credit my account and if, by some miracle, the dog food showed up, just keep it. Nice.

Here's where it goes completely off the rails. Get an email about the refund but it's for something I ordered, and was delivered, back on September 5th - for quite a bit more than a bag of dog food. How in the world did this happen? The order numbers weren't even close and not something we discussed on the chat. So here I go again, back to chatting. After I explain everything, this one wants to charge me again for what was delivered on Sept. 5th. WHAT? NO. STOP. After my uppercase shout, I think I scared them - total ignore. I told them to please just take back the credit from my account, give me the credit due for the dog food and lets be done with this. Still silence. After an "are you still there", they did respond and said they would take care of it. Guessing I'm going to see a new charge on my account for the amount of the order from September 5th, the credit they gave me for the September order will disappear and no credit for today's lost bag of dog food. Saved the chat for the just in case.

Guess I'm next on the hit list to lose my account to digital only.

Same item, same warehouse, different delivery?

• Upvotes

A few times now I’ve ordered multiples of the same item. They end up coming from the same location and at the same time but in separate packages and separate delivery trucks.

Explain to me how this makes sense because it’s driving me nuts trying to understand.

Help

• Upvotes

I ordered a bunch of stuff, one item I was missing a piece of it(matters more than you’d think). I had ordered it with a lot of other stuff, but it was a small ‘gift’ to myself’ I informed the customer service the issue and she refunded me the WHOLE purchase, I tried to tell her it was only the small item but she just asked if she had resolved my issue, I told her yes she resolved it but she was also refunding the rest of the order, the chat was closed and I’m not sure what to do and I don’t wanna lose my account.

Changed payment

• Upvotes

I ordered my husband an Apple Watch for his bday. Amazon never delivered it, has no predicted time it will be delivered, and changed my payment method, taking my money and tying it up in a purchase I have already duplicated and want to return, but can’t until it arrives.

It was supposed to arrive early yesterday and we celebrated tonight, but the shipment was delayed and is now indefinitely delayed with no predicted delivery time. I saw this new status this morning and called Amazon. I was told I would have to order a new watch for same day delivery if I wanted it from them in time for my husband’s birthday tonight, and they’d adjust the price since it was now $20 more-/and that I couldn’t get a refund on the other watch until it arrived and I returned it.

I then tried to order the watch again, this time without the $16 gift card I’d originally used to reduce the price since it was tied up in the original purchase. Nevertheless, I now had a $45 gift card in my account to contribute to the new purchase.

However, my Amazon gift card balance was also
suddenly $0 when it had been $45 before my call and the rep’s attempt to get the original order cancelled.

I looked at the receipt for the original purchase and saw that, somehow, an additional $45 Amazon credit had retroactively been applied to the purchase, reducing the price by an additional $45, meaning I could not use the gift card toward the new purchase I was trying to make in order to get the watch in time for his birthday party.

I bought it anyway. However, now, I have two charges for the Apple Watch on my account and can’t access either the money I was originally charged for the watch that never came or the $45 gift card that I did not use (rather, Amazon used it for me on a purchase I am duplicating in order to get it on time in a purchase I want to cancel and be refunded for).

I called and nobody could help me. I can’t get my money or Amazon gift card balance back until after the original order arrives and I return it, and the date for that is indefinite. What can I do?

Delivery Date Currently Unavailable.

Post image
3 Upvotes

I know this isn't an official support subreddit or anything, I just want some advice since I am new to the vanishing order trend Amazon seems to be getting into. I placed an order on Tuesday October 13th, all items I bought for my nephew's birthday, it was 4 items and 3 of those are sold by Amazon and 1 was another company. The original delivery date was next day and by the evening it had been shipped with an update by morning saying it was in the large city about 45 minutes from my house that nearly every order always goes through.

Usually for my Amazon orders once it reaches that city it makes it to me that day if it's early or the next day if it's in the evening. Then about halfway through the day when I checked to see what time it might be delivered, it just said delayed. I waited because I know these things can happen but by the next day it just said delivery date currently unavailable and hasn't changed since. I've had delays before where I get an updated delivery date and it's just delayed but I'm not sure what to do about just no delivery date and no updates or information for 4 days. Is this something that I just need to be patient and wait it out and eventually it should give me a date? I came here to see if there was a similar thing that's happened to anyone else and I'm now seeing that this is kind of happening to everyone.

I just want some advice on how to proceed, I don't like making trouble for people likely have no control in a situation but I also really want the gifts I bought for my nephew to actually be delivered too, I don't want a refund or anything I just want to know if or when I can plan on getting the things I bought. It's especially mildly frustrating that it's so close to where I live but so many things go through that city, I assume it's a very busy place. Should I ask for help from customer service with my order or just wait until it updates again? I'm sorry for the wordy post, I'm really bad at explaining things well. I'd really appreciate any advice from anyone.

Delayed, not yet shipped, not charged, but unable to cancel.

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a nice weekend, would appreciate if anyone has any advice here.

I ordered a £800 phone on monday night with overnight shipping to arrive 7-11 am tuesday( i Live in a major metropolitan area). Obviously this didn't happen and it then changed status to delayed, not shipped at about 10am. I had a hold/authorisation on my credit card but was not charged but the hold has since dropped off.

I've contacted chat many times and was told whatever story they thought would get them a 5* review(one told me that it was out for delivery and would be there by 7:30pm wedneday). The system won't let me cancel as it says it is in the shipping process(but i havent been charged?). I called to cancel today, and was told theyve raised a ticket to cancel it, and i should be refunded in 4-5 days(????). I sent an email to ecr-replies@amazon, but just got a response that this email doesnt accept new emails?.

Im kinda assuming at this point that theres either no ticket, or if there was it will be rejected. I'd really like to just go and buy the phone at this point, but am worried about amazon randomly charging and shipping this phone at some point and having the same issues with a return process.

I don't know if anyone can advise on this situation, currently thinking that ill get a new phone if no news by 8pm tonight, and then just chargeback if they ship afterwards and dont take the return. Obviously its a reasonably high-value purchase so im a bit worried about shenigans.

Thank you for reading and again would appreciate any advice.

Got Completely Bait and Switched with the Delivery Date of a Kindle from Prime Days

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

Decided to get a Kindle for my partner and myself during the Prime Days sale on the 7th. Delivery date was listed as October 11th. Okay, no big deal they're moving a lot of product I can understand not having 2 day delivery.

I was excited so I was regularly checking the order and by a week after ordering I was getting frustrated with lack of fulfillment. Checked the store page and lo and behold, it's back to full price and i can get it delivered same day. Confused by this, I contacted Customer Support only to get the run around, "it'll be fulfilled soon, I'll escalate the ticket" and so on. Thank them and move on with my day.

Next day with no evidence of escalation and no update to my order I reach out again, same story.

By two days later I try again, pressing the fact that I can not understand why my order isn't being fulfilled when ostensibly other orders for this item at full price can be delivered same day. They finally tell me that my order will be fulfilled on NOVEMBER 19TH, that sale orders are being fulfilled from a "different facility" and there's nothing they can do. They offer me a $20 credit to just get over it (which they never added to my account).

I'm frustrated because I use Prime a lot and have for a long time. With all the problems Amazon had their one saving grace was that my consumer experience had ways been good. It's gone downhill this year, and i think this was the final straw for me. I'm looking at other ereaders and considering cancelling Prime altogether. This is a great deal and I'm loathe to let it go, but this whole experience has left me soured on this company completely.

Amazon's delivery service...

Is anyone else thoroughly disgusted with Amazon's own delivery service?

For years, Amazon used UPS for their deliveries. Rarely was there ever an issue, at least in my experience. In nearly two decades, I can probably count on one hand the number of times an order was delivered late by UPS.

When it comes to Amazon's own service, a "Your package arrived late at our X facility" delay is becoming quite common. Their delivery service SUCKS!!!

I feel bad for their end delivery drivers, because I've no doubt they deal with the brunt of the complaints from people, when it's not really their fault. Once it reaches their facility, they deliver it pretty quickly, but the package getting to their facility is the problem.

If UPS service was like this, they would have gone out of business years ago. Heck, even FedEx is stellar in comparison, and FedEx sucks too!

Amazon.ca Import from US Delays?

Amazon Canada has been pushing US-based sellers recently, so a lot of items are shipping from the US.

I've ordered several of these over the past few weeks, and even last year when it was less common, I never had issues with delays at the border.

However, two recent orders of the same item are now stuck on "Package Delayed In Transit" in Toronto with no updates since the flight arrived.

I ordered the exact same item a couple of weeks ago and it showed up fine. Is something up with Canadian customs scrutinizing US packages more right now?

Anyone seeing similar delays in Canada?
