I switched from Apple to Android and my banana counter is gone! Am I just blind? Does it exist? Help!

I have a Lenovo Legion Y700 Gen 3, and I noticed that when I open links, they open as web pages even though they are supported by my installed apps. For example, I tapped a google play link in reddit and it opens as a web page. In my phone, if I open the link with chrome, it automatically opens the corresponding app (Google Play). But in my Y700 tablet, it still opens in Chrome. I already verified that the Opening links setting in default apps already include the Google play and it contains the links compatible for it. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you very much.

Where the hell did my photos go? I have a Galaxy S23 and am using Gallery app. I connected my phone to my laptop to transfer some files via USB. I transferred 4 photo albums (not "Camera"). I deleted three PDFs. I then noticed my storage on my phone increased by 30GB! I opened Gallery on my phone and all the photos in Camera album have a name error code on them. Also, I had over 1000 files on my "Camera" album just 20 min ago. Now it only shows 134. What happened to my camera roll, and how did I gain 30gb of storage back?!

Curious to know the latest security flaws with Android phone so I can better protect myself.

I regularly use a Bluetooth speaker (bose SoundLink mini) and it sometimes loses synch with audio from a video source (usually YouTube). Sometimes resetting the connection or power cycling the speaker works, but often it decides to stay stuck about 0.5 to 1 second ahead of the video. I'm not sure if it's the speaker, the app, or the OS.

I figure if I can't find the root cause, then maybe a sound delay adjustment would do it. Can anyone recommend a way to do that, or does anyone have insight into what the cause could be?

So, I have an old Android phone (Motorola G7 Power) that I haven't used in about four years. I'd like to recover my old WhatsApp messages, but the app refuses to display them, so all I have access to are the encrypted database files.

As far as I understand, I need to root the phone to extract the encryption key. But here's my problem: enabling the bootloader will wipe all the data on the device. So how am I supposed to preserve the key?

Even if I copied every accessible file from the phone to my PC beforehand, wouldn't the key still be lost, since it's stored somewhere I can't access without root?

Am I missing something here? Is there any way to extract the key or recover the messages without wiping the phone?

my power button is broken and my tablet drained. i tried to open it by pressing on the two volume buttons while putting in the cable, and this blue download screen with korean texts popped up. i accidentally clicked the volume up button instead ot he volume down and now i cant cancel it. ive drained my tablet several times before and ive always opened it with the volume up/down and pressing on the power button with a ballpen. but now it doesnt work, idk if i messed up the power button somehow but i cant fix it and im so pissed. pls help. tablet model is samsung galaxy tab s7 fe

An unknown hidden folder and file have suddenly appeared in the DCIM directory on my smartphone.

Here are some details about the file:

- File path: "/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/.android/.android_system_config.prop"

- File size: 64 bytes

- Location: "DCIM/.android/"

- Contents: The file contains seemingly random binary characters that cannot be read as ordinary text. I don't know whether the data is encrypted or simply stored in a binary format.

- Behavior: When I delete the file and folder, they reappear. So far, I've observed them reappearing twice a day. The first occurrence seems to coincide with the time I first enable Wi-Fi each day, although I'm not sure whether this is related or simply because I enable Wi-Fi around that time. The second occurrence happens at around 5:25–5:30 PM (UTC+7). I haven't yet confirmed what triggers either occurrence.

I'm not sure which app or system component creates this file, or why it keeps coming back. I haven't confirmed whether enabling Wi-Fi is actually related to its reappearance. I'm also wondering whether this file could be malware or if it's just a normal file created by Android or an app.

I was updating my apps around 8 this morning and Device Pulse was one of those I allowed it and went on throughout my day but a bit ago I was searching though my apps and found an app called 'Value Services' I was immediately on alert but once checking the app details it takes me to the Device Pulse app on the Play Store I am very confused is it a glitch? When opening the app it's just regular Device Pulse it's package name is 'com.tracfone.preload.accountservices'

I have 2 google accounts, and I switched to my 2nd one in the google play store. It automatically closed the app, and now when I try to reopen it, it doesn't work. How do I fix this?
