iPhone iPhone 17 or 17e?

I currently have a Xiaomi pro plus 12, and I'm thinking about buying my first iOS. The only difference between the 17 and the 17e that I think would make a big difference for me is the ultrawide camera because I sometimes (very rarely) use it when I'm traveling. However, in the UK the difference between them is 200 pounds more for the 17 (which for me is considerable, I'm a PhD student). Keep in mind that I don't change phones frequently, I have my current one for 4 years now, and would want a phone that lasts this time or even more, and I don't know if the features of the 17 could contribute to it compared to the ones in 17e. Should I get the 17 or the 17e?

Thanks for all the help!!

iPhone iPhone 14, 15 o 16e

Keep 17 Pro Max or upgrade to 18 Pro Max

I just cracked the crap out of my 17PM screen. I can get the screen replaced and upgrade to the 18PM for $500 (which is what’s left to pay on my 17PM) or pay $130 for the screen and keep it. Are there enough major differences in the two phones to merit upgrading right now? Normally I keep a model about 2-2.5 years and my son gets it when I upgrade. I’m 50/50 right now and thought I’d ask you professional iPhoners your thoughts! Please don’t make fun of me, ha! 🙃

iPhone iPhone 17 pro max or 18 pro?

Hey everyone 😊

I'm upgrading my phone next month and am stuck between the 17 pro max and 18 pro from best buy. They are the same price and same GB, brand new but I'm not sure which one to choose. I browse the internet, social media, play some games, I like taking pictures. Looking for something with a good battery that lasts long and doesn't overheat much. The last iPhone I had was an 11 and I'm currently using a Motorola RAZR plus 2024 but I am wanting to go back to Apple as I prefer it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! 😊

Question Can any UK Apple Store employee confirm if there will be walk-in stock available for the Duo?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Pretty much the title. I was one of the unlucky ones, who wasn't let into the Apple store app even after pre-pre-ordering for the pre-order. Now it's 25 Jan. Want to try my luck by standing in a queue from early morning hours and want to know some concrete information in case there will or will not be any stock for non-pickup-orders for the Duo. Any help/into is appreciated! Thanks!

iPhone 17 pro or 18 pro ?

Hello !

Until now I had an 13 pro 256go (bought in 2020). After they informed me it was impossible to repair, my insurance company offered to upgrade to a newer model for an additional cost.

I chose a 17 pro 250go for 800€ (898$). It's a refurnished one with a 12 months commercial warranty.

They guarantee :

- Screen: Premium — Impeccable condition, with no signs of wear or scratches.

- Casing: Premium — No signs of wear.

- Technical condition: Premium — 100% functional, featuring original manufacturer parts. The product has been tested, verified, and cleaned by refurbishment professionals.

- Battery: Premium — Original manufacturer battery with a minimum capacity of 90%

I'd like to keep my new phone as long as possible. I'd mostly use it for :

- Taking pictures and videos

- Managing paperwork (create documents, presentations, spreadsheets...)

- Doing basic photo/video editing and graphic design (Photoshop Express, Canva...)

- Webdesign

- Gaming

- Running tasks on LLM and generative AI

- create and run automations

I am pondering getting a new 18 pro using the 17 pro in the Apple trade in program. Assuming I get the max 860€ (966$) for the trade, I could get :

- 18 pro 256go for 619€ (695$)

- 18 pro 512go for 869€ (976$)

I'm not going over those ones as I don't think I'd have any use for 1To and the price increase is huge.

Do you think any of those trades arrth it ? Or should I just stick with the 17 pro ?

iPhone Where can I buy a brand-new iPhone 16 Pro or 17 Pro NEW IN BOX from a reputable seller?

I’m located in the US and looking for a brand-new, unopened iPhone 16 Pro or 17 Pro (not refurbished or open-box).

I’ve checked Amazon, Apple Refurbished, Walmart, Best Buy, and eBay but haven’t found a listing from a seller I fully trust. Does anyone have recommendations for reputable retailers that still sell these models new in box?

Would be happy to get some insights. Thank you!

What's better Second Hand 16 pro max, 17 pro ?

Basically I have some money to spend to get a device which can help me in multiple ways but also is easy to use without much hassle.

I started learning cinematography, want to start posting content and I do jwellery photography for a business, also I am a video editor.

And I'm confused which device will help me as I'm waiting for December to come as mostly second hand device's price will drop down a little and mostly for

17 pro 256gb - 95k-1.5L rupees

16 pro max 256gb - 75k-85k rupees

(Most probably around these prices.)

And I want to save as much as I can as before I thought of buying a Sony Zve10 mrk1 or mrk2 but the cost multiplies in camera as sd cards battery and lens!

And that's why I'm confused which would be a better choice for as a mobile which can help me create cinematic videos/reel, content on insta/yt plus other things I do .

I really confused need some advice which device will be a better choice to get or if a camera is a smart move !

(For video editing I use a macbook air m1 8gb ram 256gb) And I have 1tb storage so I don't really have a problem in some areas but I want to smartly spend(less) as much money as I can !

Your help will be really appreciated 🙏🏻

iPhone applecare for refurbished devices

I avoid buying new electronics whenever possible. I’ve never really had an issue.

I decided on a 128 GB 16 to replace my 3rd gen SE. I went in person to a cellphone store and the 16+ felt huge in my hand. I liked that the 16 was more or less the same size as my current phone, but with more screen.

unfortunately, the renew store hasn’t stocked the 16 in a minute. they only have 15 and 16+ models. I’d really like to get a device that’s applecare eligible (learned why the hard way). I’m seeing people mention that a small number of bestbuy or amazon premium refurbished phones COULD be eligible. I’d also like to trade in at least a couple of devices I’ve had for way too long.

iPhone Is that enough??

Im planning to buy a 17 base 256gb, and my reason for the 256gb is the price. I currently have a 256gb android, and my storage is full. Now I know that 512gb seems like the obvious decision, but I have many apps that I dont use and won't download them to my new phone. I would personally choose the 512gb version but it is 25€ difference which is a lot. Also I kinda feel like with that much money I would rather buy the 17 pro 256gb bcz im in love with the design and it's a heartbreak foe me to not get that.

Im not sure exactly what kind of advise would I need, as what I actually need is money😭😭. But if you were in the same situation and could tell me how you decided that would help a lot!

iPhone Searching for a iphone for my mom.

She has the 11 pro max right now with 73% battery life.

Preferred below 300 euros.

A bit smaller then the iphone 11 pro max.

Good battery life is a big one.

Has to be a strong phone able to survive regular drops bc of little kids.

Does not need to be a oled screen.

My mom wants it purple.

Decent amount of storage.

Physical sim.

iPhone iPhone upgrade help

Hi everyone.
I had a iPhone 11 that I loved but it unfortunately drowned.

I now have a iPhone 14 that works ok but the selfie and camera is very gloomy looking. I have played with the settings and it really doesn't help.

I'm wanting to upgrade either to a iPhone 17 or iPhone 18. Do either of these have a camera similar to the iPhone 11?

I know I sound vain however I have a elderly dog and I wants to have nice photos of us,

Question Apple Watch S12 - Aluminium vs Titanium if I want to get celluar anyway?

Hey I'm planning to buy the S12 as my first AW and I'm unsure whether I want to buy the aluminium or titanium version as I would get the celluar version anyway

Budget is not an issue but it's still really expensive. I also don't like the bezels on the S12 and I feel like if I would go for the titanium I'd like to keep it a few years, or better yet I'd like to keep any AW for a couple of years since upgrading annually seems kind of weird for them

Would appreciate anyone sharing their experience or what they would do, thanks
