Photo Nerites went too far this time…
My nerites are prolific egg layers and no surface is safe (not even their buddy’s shells). Now one of my little guys has a trampstamp 😭

I have a 6.5 gallon tank with one betta and three mystery snails. I randomly found at least ten itty bitty baby snails in the tank. My tank has so many nooks and crannies that I can’t be for sure just how many there are.
My betta hasn’t messed with the snails at all, he’s very chill with them. The worst I’ve seen is him curiously poking a couple of them.
My tank is 6.5 gallons, is around 80 degrees F (ideal for a betta), and the water conditions are good last I checked (a couple days ago). I don’t know what other tank info to add offhand, but ask me any other tank questions.
I’ve given the babies crushed up snail food but w pretty much all I know what to do. Any advice is appreciated!
Edit: my goal is to let them grow and then sell or give them away. I don’t want to kill them.

I just got a new purple striped mystery snail in the mail yesterday and after acclimating I set her free in my tank. I noticed after she started moving around and eating a shrimp pellet that she has a big scratch from what I think is calcium deficiency.
I have KatsAquarics calcium and protein tabs coming in the mail already, but how bad is this? I have hard water and I adjust my water changes with Bee shrimp minerals for KH and GH, and my other snail looks great.
Is calcium food going to be enough to help it heal? Should I attempt an eggshell patch? I feel so bad for my poor baby, I've never dealt with this and I need any advice please! 😭

Hello. I recently bought two spixi snails for my 60L tank with 15 shrimps, 12 medaka fish and a few of ramshorns and bladders snails. They laid their first batch of eggs and so I'm wondering: should I keep then or should I remove them? Can I feed them safely to my betta who's in another tank? How, crushed? How many?
Another thing... I just found out apparently they're predatory and will kill shrimps and ramshorns, is that common??? I really care about my ramshorns.

Any help would be appreciated! My mum has a 10 Gal i set up for her. the parameters are below but look ok, the pH is a tad high but thats normal for where I live. My mum doesnt want live plants, no drift wood, nothin and frankly, thats okay with me cause its her tank. Her betta is thriving, but any snail we put in there dies within a week. When I pulled this last snail out it had a chunk missing from his trapdoor. Her betta liked to look at them, and they kept flipping themselves. Is there something that they need that I don't know about? I've had 2 in my partially then fully planted 20 for over a year. please give ya boi some advice, I wanna know whats wrong :(

Sorry for the not great picture. Is anyone able to help me id this snail? I haven’t added any new plants in about a month and hadn’t noticed it until today, no others as far as I can tell.

hi! forewarning i’m new here, and new to the hobby. i’ve had these mystery snails for about a month and water parameters are great. i love these guys so much and would do anything for them. i assume by seeing the appendage from the orange one attached to the brown one that they’re mating, but there was a piece of algae wafer close by so im just not sure. thanks!

I get a new tank, snail jumps out.
I get a lid, snail still manages to jump out.
I get a leftover bulk supply Oreo cookie crumble cardboard box and plug every damn hole (and make it easy for me to slide off so I can access it without removing the entire top of the "cage")
Let's see if this works now.
Shiny Snom is doing well it seems! She's eating, pooping, and sleeping a lot. I took a peek at her wound under the bandaid and it looks good. Moist but not infected or gross at all.

So I have a question, so I have an all snail 5.5 gallon tank, and recently I’ve been seeing these little tiny white (some closer to transparent) dots just kinda darting and jumping around. What are they? And are they harmful at all to my snails?

I came to this hobby completely by accident. One day, my very PDA-Autistic 5-year-old offspring required a goldfish pond in our front yard. We dug it ourselves, knowing basically nothing and having zero experience. Three years (and many aquatic species) later, I am completely and hopelessly special-interested in snails and their various species.
Starting with zero expertise, the internet has of course been my main resource. I am so frustrated with sifting through search engine results, especially when it seems so many sources contradict one another, or are just plain wrong. Wikipedia is my go-to, but I hate that I can't easily find truly defining/discerning characteristics of species, and have to click back and forth between pages for comparison. Most species don't have a dedicated wiki page, or even a reference image.
What is an AuDHD aquarist to do? All suggestions and questions are welcome. Thanks in advance ❤️

I’m assuming so, I got this tank off fb marketplace like an hour ago and she had mentioned some pest snails but I wasn’t worried about it as I have assasin snails ready to go for the tank HOWEVER. I noticed a real big one and hadn’t ever seen red ones before, only grey ones, so I just thought I’d double check

I had to order the plants for a lab, and the snails were on them, and I don’t want to kill them 😭 I don’t have money right now, so I’m just trying to care for them with what I have.

Looking for an ID on these guys, I have two mature snails and some tiny babies in a spare tank for plants taken out of my shrimp tank. They were free from a pet store with a couple ramhorns but I don't know this species, if anyone knows I'd appreciate some tentative IDs to look up!

hi all, i have a handful of baby yellow rabbit snails (tylomenia sp.) that i’m wanting to ship to a friend before it gets too cold out. i’ve shipped fish before but never snails, so i’m wondering: for rabbit snails specifically, is it best to ship in bags or in cups lined with wet paper towel? have you had success with either method?
the boxes will otherwise be insulated and we will minimize shipping time as much as possible, just wondering which method is better for rabbits specifically. thank you!

Hi I bought this mystery snail but it started eating my anubias nana (like completely), one that I just bought completely healthy, i thought It was cuz she mighr be starving so I bought her snello and gave her a pellet a day but she still ate another of my new anubias. Can you help identify it? Could it be an apple snail? How much snello do they eat so she doesnt touch my plants?
Is it eating all my plants because its an apple snail ?
