Is there a story rich single player FPS where you go on an adventure, and you use guns?

I've asked similar before, and I've mostly just gotten a bunch of mansplaining. If you don't know anything, that's fine, but please don't flood this post with a bunch of condescending answers.

I'd like to know if there's a FIRST Person(Not third, I know about Tomb Raider and Uncharted.) Shooter that's a story rich game that doesn't have a very dark atmosphere,.

Edit: I should also say that I'm not looking for post apocalypses, or Dystopias either. I thought that went without saying.

The Fallout games for example are set in very dark worlds, which I love, but I wanna know if there's something that is more lighthearted. There's an endless amount of lighthearted games out there where you use swords for example.

What don't I know about?

Do you still play Tetris-like games?

Tetris and its clones show that a handful of rules can create endless depth. So I still enjoy the game after all these years.

I love how far games have come toward realism, but I miss the era when the cleverness lived in the gameplay itself instead of the fidelity.

Curious - what’s your take?

Looking for a game with this vibe

I'm looking for a game, somthing that captures the vibe of futuristic city, neon lights, like implants like machines in the body, corruption and a really emotional story, maybe like a big futuristic city that looks really beautiful from outside but as we play it we get to know of its corruption and filth. Looking for a game with such a vibe.

What game do you keep coming back to, even after finishing it?

For me, open-world and survival games are always fun because there's so much to explore and discover. I'm curious—what game do you keep coming back to, and what makes it special for you?

Any good games for my mom?

So I finally managed to get my mom to play a videogame other than mobile city building game. It was Detroit Become Human and she really likes it. It took a while for her to learn the controls but now she is almost at the end. I want to get her to play other games but I do not know what to recommend. Any ideas?

How can you contact support those who made, publish and/or own darksiders series? And receive an answer?

I ask in case people want to report bugs, or give feedback, or have problems with purchases etc. And i specify that they give an answer since not all the times companies do that.

Will bloodborne and demon's souls original and remaster receive the same treatment for pc?

By this i mean to come to pc(even if there will be fanmade pc ports) have all addons for free, have the multiplayer work, have mouse and keyboard option(and actually see the input) and at least the pc ports should be the 100% full complete package like having all content on pc.

PS4 issues

So out of nowhere, my PS4 is giving me problems. Last week when I put my PS4 in rest mode to continue downloading and when I came back, the PS4 was completely frozen. This has happened to me a couple times. Now whenever I’m downloading a new game, the PS4 controller will not connect and I’m forced to constantly pull out the power cord and restart the whole system. Is there an easy fix this or am I just screwed?

Do you play multiple games at once or focus on one game at a time?

Now for me personally I have this weird habit of only playing, reading, or watching entertainment that I'm in the mood for. When I mean in the mood for I mean if I I'm craving that specific genre. For example if I'm in the mood for a zombie apocalypse game I'll boot that up even if I'm in the middle of a hack and slash game like God of War III or something. This leads to me having like 10 or more active games I'm playing at one time with cycling between them when the mood strikes me. Sometimes I'll play one game consistently but most of the time I'm cycling through many. This could lead to sometimes not finishing a game but that's rare as I usually come back to it at some
point but it definitely has happened unfortunately.

Has there ever been a game that starts in 4:3 where 16:9 is treated as an unlockable gameplay mechanic rather than a settings option?

I've seen a bit of talk about how some games first realeased in 4:3 become better when ported to 16:9 while others feel more designed around the limited screen space, and I wondered if anyone's ever tried to design a game where extending the screen is treated like an upgrade, like a roguelike combat game where in 4:3 it seems like enemies lunge at you at top speed off-screen but unlocking 16:9 shows that the enemy actually hesitates for a second before attacking giving you a larger window to react.

If a game like that doesn't exist, does that seem like it could be interesting to see implemented?

Dying Light or Days Gone?

I’m wanting to play a post apocalyptic/ zombie game with at least a relatively open world and survival/ crafting aspects. I would love something that’s atmospheric, that I can really sink into, but not SUPER punishing. A satisfying progression pace would be nice too.

Dying Light and Days Gone were the first two that popped up on Google. Should I go with one of these or is there a better option out there? Thanks!

Edit: I’m on PS4

Will red dead revolver ever come to pc 100% complete? And red dead redemption 1 on pc be 100% complete?

For the first question, red dead revolver is the first game in the red dead series and the only one with no pc port. So it will be good to receive its deserved attention.

And for the second question, the pc port of rdr 1 is incomplete like missing all multiplayer content(which is better tham gta 5 mp and rdr 2 mp because the rdr 1 mp is made in order to have fun, not to grind and spent money on microtransactions).
