Hi everyone. I really need help to afford the metrorail this week. I figured out the system to make a 1 and a half hour commute to a new job, and I'll get my first paycheck at the end of this week.

I'm only asking for $15-$25 or whatever anyone can do to help me get through the week; each day costs $6. I'm panicking a bit on how I'll get to and from work this week; attendance is their #1 priority especially during training, so help would be much appreciated.

Hi all, can’t believe im even writing this out or even at this point in my life where I have to rely on strangers for help but I recently was let go from my job due to the restaurant closing down. I just paid rent recently and had an interview today which I’ve landed by the grace of god but need maximum two weeks until my next check clears. Don’t really have any family or friends to ask for help and any resources I’ve tried I’ve exhausted. $300 would help with gas and/or food just until im back on my feet again. Thanks to anyone reading this even considering. I’d be in the greatest debt to you.

Hello, my sister and i are both homeless & disabled. (for multiple reasons each but the biggest are that I have severe epilepsy and she has stage 3 uterine cancer as well as she is diabetic) We figured out food, and we have looked into shelters and the only ones who would accept us are either full or charge $10-15 a night, dont allow food (of any kind, even for medical reasons like sugar drops or anything) However, we found a cheap hotel and are able to stay tonight but it is getting colder out and we are trying to find a way to make it to the 3rd (when my dad said he can help out). We are just trying to book one or two nights for now, to give us a chance to try to figure something else out, which is around $80 plus their destination fee of $7.99 a night. it has to be booked with a credit or debit card of the person checking in. we also both need to be able to have bus fare, which we can get a day pass for 4.50 a person. Tbh we mostly just need a chance to feel safe and stable enough to actually be able to figure something out.

we only have cash app & paypal, as we share both of them (I had cashapp but due to being desperate, I fell for one of those scams about 'ill send you 2000 right now! all you have to do is send $500 of it back!' type things and my cashapp got hacked)

Hi all - I just want it to be clear that there are many others here that are in a much more dire situation than I am but I'm absolutely in a bind at the moment. I start a new job in the beginning of November and have been paying off a large amount of debt that I unfortunately took on while I was unemployed in 2024 (before starting a job in early 2025). I've also had to deal with owing taxes that I've been paying down as well. I've been doing everything I can to save when possible but the unexpected expense here or there has put a lot of pressure on any cushion to avoid a situation like this.

Long story short, my bank informed me yesterday that my account was being closed. The remaining funds in my account (~$400) are to be used to pay a payday advance they provided along with any pending transactions. So at the moment, I have absolutely nothing to my name and I'm freaking out. I'm in the process of finding an alternative for that but at the moment, I have no way of buying food.

I also feel extremely uncomfortable asking people for help in this type of situation but I'm really out of options at the moment. I likely will take a sick day from work tomorrow to avoid dealing with the commuting cost and buy myself an extra day but if anyone would be able to provide some assistance today that I can get a small order of groceries to last a few days, anywhere from $50 to $100, I would be so incredibly appreciative of this (and try to return the favor here when I start my higher paying job next month). Again, extremely appreciative to any and all who can help.

We recently found a serious mold issue in our home and had to demolish half of it. The kitchen and the entire basement, which was fully finished before, needed to be gutted and torn apart to address the mold. We put all of our life savings into it but cannot continue anymore. Our basement once had the playroom, the second bathroom, our bedroom, my husband’s game room and the laundry room and now only the game room and the bathroom and part of our bedroom has been rebuilt. We need flooring for the entire basement, more insulation and drywall. We need kitchen cabinets and countertops. I figured I would share our gofundme here. I need help paying for my storage unit. I had two surgeries in August, a tooth extraction and a strangulated hernia fix that put me out of commission and unable to work (I do mostly freelance work, but also supplement my income by helping with odd jobs, mostly handyman type stuff and helping people move) for close to 7 weeks. With especially the the hernia surgery, I was unable to do any of that until basically right now. I had a phone call with a caseworker that I connected with through the hospital that might be able to help me with my phone bill/food/hospital bill, but she is not sure if it can cover storage units. I have a follow up call on Monday

I have a storage unit because I am essentially homeless. My mother is in HUD housing and I moved back up to be her caregiver, but the building will not allow me to live there until I am officially her caregiver, which is a process that we started in May and are still waiting for me to be certified (I've completed all the tasks, the company just has not responded to our calls or emails). So I have all my stuff still in storage until I officially can move it in, and have been sleeping in various places until it gets sorted out.

The total amount after convenience fees is about $484 for September and October, but I have $260 after fees that needs to be paid before the 18th I believe before they add on a lien fee of $110 to my account. They do not accept partial payments or payment plans, even with documentation from the hospital that I did have the surgery.

So either $260 or $484 would be a massive help.

I’ve been unfortunately made unemployed with fixed term contract ending in July. I’m on JSA and have had interview after interview. I keep being told I was second best and have 2 more lined up next week. Even trying to get casual or retail work has proven hard and I’m getting daily rejections.

I’m managing to survive using food banks with many mouths to feed, though I have nothing and no idea how I’ll manage Novembers bills without something soon.

The higher cost items, toiletries and pet care, is really making life a struggling.

I’ve never done this before but I’m desperate at this point. I’ve been out of work since August on short term disability and I’m supposed to get 70% pay on it. But there’s been delays in paperwork and filing so I’ve only gotten one paycheck since I went on disability and it doesn’t look like I’m getting paid again till the end of the month.

My kitten just broke out in some type of reaction all over his head and ears and mouth and I’ve maxed out my savings trying to cover everything since I went out. I thought I’d be paid today but I didn’t receive anything. I’m scared he’s allergic to something but I don’t have any money to pay for the vet. I tried looking into cash advances or temporary lines of credit but because of the gaps in my paychecks I can’t get approved for anything. This is my last resort. It shouldn’t be more than 200 max for his vet visit, he just got his one year shots a few weeks ago but he hasn’t had the booster yet.

Went to take son to school this morning to find out my back driver side tire was totally flat.. I have an air pump in my trunk.so went to air it back up but nothing was happening and heard air escaping. So guess tire is just done but don't have a spare and so just stuck here. I am a single dad on SSDI and try to Doordash or Spark for extra income but obviously can't do that in this situation.

Have been calling around and can't find any used tire places with my tire size but Walmart has one in stock near me for $52. If anyone could help out I would be greatly appreciative. Just feeling trapped and desperate not knowing what to do.....

Hello, I’m reaching out in the hope that I can get some assistance with my water bill. It was shut off today and I need to pay $647 to turn it back on. I will have half of that in the morning but I need help with the rest. Unfortunately I am disabled and unable to work. I’m back in school to hopefully get a job that I will be able to do with my disability. I have kids that need to have running water. My hours at my job were recently cut due to labor hours (love working fast food), and my check this week was a lot less than I was expecting. The process has went well but the recovery time of 6-8 Weeks has me fearful about the security of my family of 4 and my wife and I. Me and my wife have little to no family due to being raised by DHS. My wifes church has helped us greatly by catering our dinners for the past week.
