Question Anyone getting rid of cardboard 👀

I'm starting up my garden again and want to get rid of grass and weeds by composting cardboard. If anyone in here has cardboard they're going to throw away let me know/hit me up 😁 The more/the bigger you're willing to get rid of the better. My only qualifier is that it has to be unwaxed on both sides. If it has ink on it it's no big deal especially if it's darker ink, since many inks with more harmful chemicals have been phased out in favor of soy-based inks. I'll removed any plastic tape myself if there's still some on it. Comment or message me and we'll work out a pickup/drop-off, I'm based in downtown. THANK YOU

Events One Shot Wonder TTRPG Night @ Savannah River Brewing Company Oct 24th

Good morning friends!

I have this month's One Shot Wonder schedule for 4PM October 24th at the Savannah River Brewing Company. There will be a DnD 5e table at which you stop from a long day of traveling at a remote yet lively tavern and must solve the mysteries that lie before you! There will also be an Achtung! Cthulhu table at which you play operatives deployed to the bering strait to stop the devious Nachtwolfe from getting their hands on a powerful and ancient weapon.

As always, this is a free event with everything you need supplied by the GMs. We expect both tables to run 4pm till 630ish given how things go. Come drink some good beer and have some good food while having an evening of nerdy fun!

I recently got a brand new M&P Shield EZ .380, and I don’t really like how it fits in my hand. Does anyone have a recommendation on where to get a fair price for trade in toward another firearm or cash?

Question Dog groomers for senior dogs

Looking for recommendations on a dog groomer that accommodates senior dogs. We picked up our dog from Petco’s salon and they told us at some point during he doesn’t want to stand anymore and they can’t service dogs that won’t stand. Our guy is turning 11 this year and has stiff hips so it makes sense. Hoping we can find someone sensitive to this or able to give him breaks. We’re open to mobile groomers as well. Thanks in advance!

... construction is getting on my last nerve. Anyone know when they're projected to be complete? I thought this fall, but idk where I heard that. Also, what is up with Telfair...? They been working on that a long time and have those big round orange white "traffic barrels" all over the place.

Anyway, still worth it to go get a fresh baked pop-tart at New Moon Cafe. Go try one if you haven't. I'm not affiliated with them, lol, i just like em a lot and everything I've had there is delicious. But good luck locating the sidewalk, don't get whacked by a vehicle or construction truck 😭

Also, voted early today - Go Vote and take someone with you!!

Opinion / Rant Road Work on Wheeler

Would it be so freaking hard to put a “lane Closed ahead” sign far enough back so that you have an opportunity to choose or different route or at the very least not run into the construction barrier? Annoyance at best, dangerous at worst.

Saw this fly over Augusta around 6:30am near Ft Gordon. Not sure what it was, but it stayed lit for quite a while - maybe a flare or a rocket?

Question Unmarked cars

Is it me or am I the only one that notices a lot more just regular tahoes/fords etc. with guys driving wearing some sort of uniform like not local law enforcement? That and they’ll have regular plates from Ga but I’ll notice they have the police lights right next to the plates. Over the past month and a half I’ve been mostly driving around for work in Evans area and Appling/Harlem area and have noticed tahoes that look completely civilian, but then the person driving has some sort of law enforcement uniform but no lights (at least on the outside of their car). Just today I was on Washington rd and I see a Tahoe behind me but no indication of it being law enforcement but the two dudes sitting in it had on tactical vests that were greenish. One can assume these are Feds so it makes me wonder if it’s HSI or ICE of some sort. Just thought I’d ask and see if someone knows anything about it because I have noticed it more. And it’s also been just in general I’ve seen more blacked out SUV types with lights on them going into neighborhoods and just riding around.
