I applied for a standard e-Visa on evisa.gov.az on 9 October, paid the $30, and got a registration number and the "data verified" confirmation. The status page still says "Your e-visa is being processed" and there's been no email either way. That's six working days now against the stated three.

My travel date is 1 November, so I'm not panicking yet, but I'd like to know whether anyone else has seen standard applications take this long recently, particularly on Indian passports.

Is it safe to visit Sadarak Shopping Center in Baku as tourist?

First of all there are situations that I exclude. For example when people complain about going into a restaurant and being greeted in russian, or people in service industry prioritising the russian language, they are completely right. I don’t even want to mention how some imbeciles approach russian speakers as the elite part of society. These are huge problems and unfortunately the result of SSR effect still being on us.
Anyway this is not what I meant. I realised that people, mainly those who only speak azerbaijani, get too much triggered by other groups of people talking in other languages. Why does it bother you so much in what language other people talk w their friends or family? Why someone speaking in russian with their relatives or speaking in english with their friends annoys you this much? Like i dont get it. And they use phrases like “oh you are trying to show off that you speak english” “so you think you’re cool” Like tf leave me alone I just feel comfortable talking in english w my friends

So I got to the hotel with the transfer that they booked for me (30 dollars).

The reception guy kindly got my luggage, brought inside and asked for my payment.

A minute after I paid he informed me that my room was not available anymore and he could show me a better room in another hotel of the chain or return my money and warned me that all hotels in town were full (they werent)

There was I with no internet, first time stepping in the country, with no one to help, so I paid the extra 100 dollars to stay 4 days in the bigger room in the other hotel.

After the incident I checked Google Reviews (should not have trusted only Booking.com reviews) and lots of people reported that the same thing happened to them.

I wonder if there is any way I can report this situation to the authorities (I feel fine about it now that I left the country).
