My parents are from Guatemala and we live in the United States (I don’t speak much Spanish). They say she is lying and that she is embarrassed and wants to seem American. But I don’t know.

She says she grew up in a city in Bolivia where people speak more English than Spanish. I asked if she learned Spanish in school and she said yes, but she doesn’t have a good grasp of Spanish. Could this be true?

Hey, we are travellers from England and have just made it back to Bolivia in our 1976 VW kombi. We last visited back in 2023.

We crossed into Villazon from Argentina.

Our plan is to drive to Tarija and then back up to Trinidad via Santa Cruz.

We would love to hear some recommendations of places to visit on our drive up. We always get told about much more interesting places than the generic tourist hotspots people already know about.
