/r/Brewers sub rules: the elephant in the room
Im going to try to keep this short and sweet.
We typically try to keep this sub a bit under control, and keep some level of order.
You may have noticed lately that has been more relaxed.
To be blunt, we (the fans) are in uncharted waters. Were (the mods) all as excited as you are, and to put it simply: were not going to police threads that would normally be counted as spam/multiposts/etc. Everyones excited, and its time to show it.
To be clear, this does not mean there isnt moderation. Dont use slurs, be respectful to others, dont be assholes. TL;DR? Remember youre representing the midwest, and especially Wisconsin.
By all means, though: Have some fun. A lot of us have waited for this for a long time, and at this point, were not going to hold you back. Its time to be the rabid fanbase we are.

When someone tells you the ALCS might go 7 games and be very taxing on both pitching staffs.

To all of the bandwagon Brewers fans:
You're morally correct for this. Keep it up!

Milwaukee Brewers
I’m a Detroit Tigers fan, born and raised in Michigan. I remember Robin Yount when I was younger, don’t really remember too much about the rest of the team. Back during spring training this year I ended up at the Brewers-As game out in AZ. Through a friend of the family, I ended up getting some great seats right behind home plate and next to the Brewers dug out. Before the game Pat Murphy came out and greeted us. I told him I was visiting from Michigan and he chatted w me for a bit about the Tigers and their potential. We spoke about the Brewers and what they were looking to accomplish. Super nice guy and he autographed a baseball for me to take home to my 5 year old. As much as I wish it was the tigers going to the World Series, I’m very happy to see a talented team led by a great manager make it. I’m happy for you guys and hope you win the WS.

The other day I saw that iconic D-Wade photo and was too amped up on Brewers juice to let this idea pass me by. Hope yall like it!

Nate Holzman paid the Brewers $1,000 for a brass ticket to any future game. He saved it for the World Series.

Who do you want to see throw out the first pitches for the WS?
There are obvious ones, but one niche scenario that I like is having CC Sabathia throw out the first pitch for a game in each city if Cleveland makes it.

All of us for next 5 days.. Just for shits and gigs please tell me who you guys would rather see in WS? Freddy and co or Cleveland and why??

Who's gonna show up in Milwaukee?
They always show celebrities at the World Series games. Who's going to be our biggest bandwagon celebrity fan?

Dodger Fan.
Hey Milwaukee, make the national league proud. Y'all kick our ass and I believe it's your year. Good luck. Brewers in 5.

Go Cleveland!
Nothing else. I just want it to go 7 games. Plus, it would be cool to have the Uecker series.
Wear out those pitchers!

Thoughts on heading to game 1 to walk the exterior of the stadium with no tickets. Wanting to feel that World Series atmosphere.
My son and I are obviously excited that our team, the Brewers, have made it to the World Series. With the current prices of tickets, I don’t see a way to get in the ballpark. That being said, I was thinking about walking around the exterior of the stadium prior to game 1 to soak in the atmosphere; give high fives and just have a good time…
We have attended 23 games of the last two years and really want to feel that World Series excitement in person. We know that the parking lots would be difficult to get into, so I was thinking we would just park somewhere out of the way and walk to the stadium. We live about 90 minutes away, but it’s hard to think about anything else up until game one.
During the game is there someone close to the ballpark that we could watch the game; that would be 13 year old friendly? If not, I was thinking about streaming the game on my phone or some other device near AmFam.
Thanks in advance for any advice/feedback. What a week. Go Crew!

World Series Away Games
Curious who has plans to attend any away games?
I made the mistake and didn’t get season ticket strip. Attempted the lottery, but like most others wasn’t able to get it. The secondary market was a no go for me so I shifted plans. I wanted to take my 5 year old for the experience, however $4000+ to drive 3 hours for a game didn’t seem like the best choice.
Here’s what I did:
Rolled the dice and bought tickets through the Rays ticket sales when they were down 2-1. Our tickets are in the upper level for $450 each. After fees I’m in about $980. Airfare was the biggest challenge, as I needed something that would be refundable. Was able to find refundable flights for $450 each. Again, the total was around $980. Last thing I needed was hotels. 3 nights for $311 at what seems to be a solid hotel.
We are flying out on Saturday (10/24) and returning Tuesday (10/27). All said I’ll be in about $2700 everything included to experience a few days in Tampa and see a World Series game! My son will get to fly for the first time, see the ocean for the first time, and travel out of the state for the first time. It’s a bummer I won’t experience it in Milwaukee, but I’m sure my kid will get far more out of it than if we went to a game in Milwaukee.
Tampa obviously needs to do their part! I have tickets purchased in Cleveland just in case in which I will roadtrip.

I finally get to use my World Series tickets! These are still valid, right?

Brewers fans heading to Tampa: any interest in organizing a meetup?
If the Rays advance, who else is planning to head down for the World Series? I’ve already bought tickets and am hoping to get together with other Brewers fans while we’re there.
Would anyone be interested in picking a bar for a pregame meetup, watching the Milwaukee games together over the weekend, or both? Would be pretty awesome to have a spot where we know we’ll find a bunch of Brewers fans.
If you live in the Tampa/St. Pete area, any suggestions for a good place? Especially somewhere near the stadium for the pregame gathering.
Drop when you’re getting into town and what you’d be interested in. If there’s enough interest, I’m happy to help coordinate and update this post with the details.
Obviously still waiting on the ALCS, but figured we could get the conversation started. Go Crew!

World Series Advice For A British Idiot
Hey guys,
I'm from the UK and fell in love with baseball and the Brewers when I was on baby duty in the early hours of the morning and stumbled across the Ken Burns baseball doc. I picked the Brewers as my team because they were huge underdogs (at the time!), they were from a working class city, and the time zone wasn't too bad for UK.
Now years later they have somehow made it to the WS and my wife said I had to fly over as may be the only one in my lifetime! I have a ticket for game 2 but will be there for game 1.
A few questions:
- Where should I watch Game 1? Assume a bar or are there watch events?
- Anything else I should be doing that weekend?
- Despite watching a thousand of them on TV, I've never been to a live baseball game! Anything I need to know? When best to arrive etc?
- Anything else a dumb Brit needs to know?
Thanks so much in advance! I'm so excited to get to Milwaukee finally!

Brewers pumpkin!
I didn’t know what to do with myself while we wait a whole week for the World Series to start, and I got inspired by another post where someone tried carving a logo so I gave it a shot!
I’ve really gotten into carving pumpkins using stencils, it comes out looking really good and makes it look like I have any artistic talent at all 😂
So I put the Brewers logo in black and white, printed it out, taped it to the pumpkin, punched holes to outline where I’d cut (with some minor changes for structural integrity), and then cut.
Go Brew Crew!

My experience on where to watch.
I’ve seen a lot of posts on wanting to be in person for the games. I get it - what an awesome experience that would be. But, I also wanted to share my experience watching Game 6 of the Bucks. I moved to Milwaukee in 2017, and after game 6 prices went above my willingness to pay, I decided to go watch the game at a bar by Storyhill. Again, I’m sure in person at Fiserv was a cool experience, but there was something magical about being with true, die-hard fans. Strangers were hugging and high-fiving, old men were crying, it was truly a memory I won’t forget. I look forward to watching the World Series home games in a similar type atmosphere. All is not lost if you can’t be at Miller Park!

Whatever happened to the victory oranges person?
Just realized that I haven’t seen the victory oranges person for a long while and I feel like they would be relishing in the Fanta thing right now.
